Churrasqueira Vila Verde — Restaurant in Toronto

I would rate this place a zero if I could. The food was mediocre at best and the service was hurendece. I will start by saying that the room they have designated for bigger parties is lovely. Neutral colors, nice lighting and AC and once dressed up with tables and center pieces looks really nice. However everything else was a HUGE miss... I booked villa Verde for a event consisting of approximately 50 -55 guests The food: was mediocre Upon meeting with the manager Lily we had agreed on a entree considering of chicken breast, beefs with mushroom sauce, rice, Parisian potatoes and a side of medley veggies and that the food would come out plated.

However, the day of the event she said that they would not be able to plate the food as there were too many people and plating would take too long and food would get cold. She suggested that it would be better to have the waiter go around and serve people individually instead. When we were finally served there were no veggies no mushroom sauce and the chicken breast ended up being thin barely there chicken fillets.oh and they ran out of desserts.

The service: Lily the manger had assured me that we would have three waiters designated for our party. One was to take care of a mini bar that had been set up and two to serve the guests. I guess they didn't hire enough staff that day because once the front of the restaurant got busy we were left with one waiter to serve our entire party. By the time the first few tables were done eating and ready for coffee the tables towards the end hadn't even begun to be served yet. Once I brought this to Lilys attention she became very disgruntle and was extremly rude to us the remainder of the evening.

Once all our guests had left Lily came to us and instead of apologizing for the terrible service and trying to remedy the situation she proceeded to tell us that we would be charged $150.00 because we hung some decor on the walls with tape and although there was no damage to the walls it was their policy. (This was the first we had heard of such policy.)

In conclusion it's my opinion that VilaVerde is not equipped to handle such events. The feed back from our guests has been terrible and we have been left completely embarrassed.

Usually we are happy with Vila Verde however one part of our last order doesnt sit well with us. DO NOTNORDER THE SHRIMP PATTIES, they are horrible we didnt know what inside them if it was old left over fish, chicken, scraps but anyone who has ever had s shrimp patty and has some taste knows what they are and these were pure garbage and a waste of money.

Now for this occasìon we just ordered potatoes, rice and salad and we were incredibly disappointed. We made a scheduled order through Uber Eats more than 4 days prior to our event which was today. Our order was to arrive around 2pm for my sons communion dinner and at 1:30pm we get a notification that our order was canceled. No one called us and we were left scrambling to find someone else. I cannot honestly say how disappointed and angry we are that this happened, we have ordered before where there were no issues, we tried calling them to figure out what happened and they aren't even answering. I can't believe they can do this to people and leave us in the lurch. If it wasn't for Best Portuguese Chicken, I don't know what we would have done.

In response to the owners answer this is what we got. Also, we did attempt to contact the restaurant that day and all we got was a message saying they were not available and we could not leave a message. We ended up spending almost double the amount finding someone who could full fill the order that last minute.

As for the patties ALL of them were so called tuna? We pay for shrimp we get tuna? Whatever they were they...
