FEB24 -Very sad about my sushi order today. The sushi tasted like soap. We ordered 3 rolls and one salmon sashimi. The sashimi was fine but all 3 rolls had a soap tinge to it. Almost like they put hand cream or there was soap residue in the rice/fillings of the roll. Super weird and off putting. We spent $40 on the sushi and ended up throwing it out since the taste was so strong. We love going here usually the quality of food and taste is pretty good, but today was not the case. We called the restaurant to let them know so hopefully it doesn’t happen again. They mentioned they put lemon in the rice but this definitely did not taste natural at all, very artificial and strange taste. we ordered it from Uber eats so still waiting to see if we can get refunded or not.
EDITED- FEB25
Editing my review to 5 stars. I received a call from the restaurant apologizing for the experience yesterday. They provided a re-do of the entire meal to make up for the experience and it tasted amazing. Not sure what happened yesterday, but seeing how the owner and staff took such great care of actually investigating and following up, shows that they truly care about their customer experience and takes feedback seriously. Things happen, and if they did not do anything it would have been very upsetting but because of this high level focus on customer experience I will definitely coming back again. Thank you for doing this and continuing to build trust with...
Read moreI recently tried Qoo Sushi in the same plaza as Royal Car Wash, and I was so impressed! From the moment I walked in, the place had a cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right with my order.
I ordered a sushi platter for takeout, and honestly, the presentation alone was beautiful—it looked fresh, colorful, and appetizing. Every piece of sushi was perfectly rolled and tasted so fresh. The fish was tender and high-quality, the rice had just the right texture, and the flavors were well-balanced. I especially loved their spicy rolls with just the right kick, and the nigiri melted in my mouth. Even the wasabi and ginger tasted fresh, which really elevated the whole experience.
What I really appreciate is that they pack the food neatly, so even takeout feels like a restaurant experience. The portion sizes are generous for the price, and you can really taste the quality in every bite.

Read moreTempura is very good. Nice thin batter, fried at the right temperature. Not greasy. Really, really well done.
Tuna is fresh enough, though watery and bland. Tamago is watery and bland. Tastes like a frozen pre-made product.
Rice is alright. Not amazingly fresh or well seasoned, but not old and mushy either.
Rolls are cheaped out on, with the filling not extending all the way to the ends. You aren't getting a proper 6 pieces, you're getting 4 full pieces and 2 half-filled pieces.
Never had sushi made with avocado with bad spots before. Large ones, that go all the way to the edge of the roll, and are at the end of the roll. There's no way these could have been missed when rolling.
Spicy scallop roll is an atrocious waste of money and stomach space. Is there a scallop in there? Maybe one, chopped finely and spread in with 98% crunchy pieces. There is no scallop visible. There is no scallop flavour. There is no scallop.
Smoke Philly roll has a tiny dollap of cream cheese on tiny slivers of poor smoked salmon resting on top of an avocado cucumber roll. No asparagus.
Owners should open a tempura...
