If you don’t have allergies this place is great and has delicious food. This post is mainly for the gluten free community because I have had many frustrating experiences at this restaurant. Long story short, if you have a gluten allergy, I wouldn’t recommend eating here. Long story: I am very gluten intolerant and used to come here often. I had ordered the RIGATONI ALLA RUSTICA 3 times and had always asked if the sausage was gluten free. The waiters always went to the kitchen to ask and have always said that it was. However, every time I ate there, I never felt very well, but was always assured that the sausage and everything else in that dish was gluten free so I brushed it off. One time when I ordered that meal, the waiter told me he had been working there for years and that the sausage was never gluten free. I was so shocked and explained that I was always told it was. He assured me that no, they never have been gf. This explained the sickness I had experienced after my meal. This was very concerning to me and has caused a lot of confusion and a loss of trust in the restaurant and I stopped eating there. Last night was my first time back in a while with some friends. I was hoping that my experience would be more positive. My mom, who is also gf and not knowing my previous situation, asked if the sausage was gluten free in that same meal. Our server gave a very annoyed look at her, shrugged and said “I don’t know.” Mom asked if he could find out for her and he again shrugged and said “Just don’t order that one”. My mom then asked if the meat balls were gluten free and got the same response. I asked if the salad dressings were gluten free and also got the same response. Our server seemed annoyed by our questions and very dismissive. I didn’t feel very comfortable eating there last night after that as he didn’t seem to care about what we could actually eat on the menu. He made us both feel nervous eating there. So what pasta sauce and salad dressing options are even gluten free? Going forward, it would be very appreciated if your staff and chef were more educated about gluten intolerance and your gluten free options. If you are going to offer and advertise gluten free options on your menu, your staff needs to be educated on what sauces are actually gluten free on your menu. This is a very serious issue for many people. I was very upset and disappointed to find out that I was eating gluten that whole time when I trusted that the servers and kitchen staff would know better. I understand that there is always risk of cross contamination when eating out, but when there are gf options, the expectation is that the employees would at least know what options are actually gluten free...

After a bit of a crisis at our home the day before (flooding), our friends wanted to take us out to a place in the neighbourhood.

We decided to go to Queen's Pasta because we had all passed it many times day to day and always wondered about the magic that could be inside.

And let me tell you, we had an amazing night.

Our server (whose name I cannot remember) was exceptional and made sure that we had a wonderful evening. He was very friendly throughout the night and had a warm smile which helped my wife and I feel better.

We were two couples so we ordered a litre of the White Sangria (out of the Tawse Rose!) to start. It was a very enjoyable drink that balanced the sweetness and alcohol to a very pleasant level.

We shared the bruschetta original which was a nice flavorful appetizer to lead us to the main course. We ordered 4 different pasta dishes (Rigatoni, Linguine Chicken, Smoked Salmon and Chicken Parmesan). All of it looked and tasted amazing... Each dish was very unique (I've never seen a breaded chicken Parm with spaghetti noodles but it worked!)

We finished with two desserts (chocolate lava cake and cream brulee cheesecake). Again, the presentation was nice and the food was sweet but not too sweet... A fantastic way to cap off an evening.

We will definitely be returning and keeping this as a "date night" spot for the many years we live...

An absolute gem of a place for authentic Italian cuisine. Found this after some research online and we were absolutely impressed by the food, variety, flavors, service and ambiance.

Service: Really good. Our host gave us great suggestions and was attentive towards our needs especially in the first part of our experience. Later on I think he got tired and felt that he was rushing through the process. But this was minor compared to the overall experience.

Ambiance: Loved it. Great for family, romantic night out or for a great time with friends. Nothing to complain.

Food: We ordered the soup special (Tomato & Basil), Mussles Platter, Black & White Fettucine and Linguine Con Pollo. The food was absolutely great. We loved it thoroughly. I think the Black & White Fettucine is a must have and probably one of the bets dishes on their menu.

Value: The prices were reasonable for the location and quality of food provided. The portion sizes were great and we were thoroughly filled after our meal.

Verdict: Hidden gem in the city for authentic Italian flare. I have not seen Queen's Pasta in any of the restaurant rankings but I think it definitely deserves a spot in there. I have been to top Italian restaurants recommended by mainstream rankings and I don't think they come close to the authenticity and flavors that are offered here. So...

My wife and I have been coming to the Queen's Pasta Cafe for a number of years now; normally once or twice per season. It's our go to for pasta in the area. I always get the chicken parm as my entrée. Sorry that I cannot brag about any of the other dishes; but my wife does have her couple favorite dishes that she mixes up with each visit. We share the bruschetta and any of their starter salads prior. We have never had a bad experience at Queen's. The food is always excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean. Lastly, we recently discovered espresso martinis through a friend. Our first was at Queen's Pasta and we were blown away. Since then, we've been going around Bloor West Village trying other espresso martinis elsewhere and have yet to find one nearly as tasty. We just got back from Queen's, having an early supper. Sam Cooke was a good part of the background music, played at a nice volume. We could hear it and still have a conversation where we didn't have to speak over the music.

I have not been here since 2016 and my review then was basically as complimentary as this one. It is so nice to see that over the years (...and through the COVID tempest...) that QUEEN'S PASTA remains a BWV iconic survivor!!!! For more than thirty years the QUEEN'S has provided Bloor West Villagers and visitors with an enjoyable food experience. Friendly and wonderfully efficient staff pour out classic and deliciously unique pasta dishes that never get old. The varied and extensive menu is also supplemented by daily mouth-watering specials. We stayed on the menu and were completely satiated with the generous portion of LINGUINI CHICKEN ($22). It flooded the palette with its creamy shallot & garlic sauce which complemented the pasta and juicy chicken. The house red was a gorgeous partner for this plate. I would SERIOUSLY suggest reservations at any time but especially main meals. It was not long until this venue was filled for lunch on a Wednesday.
