If Could give zero stars I would. istarted shopping here a few months ago, typically the service was what one would expect at an independent store. Yesterday's experience was far from great, the server was clearly distracted. My order was for 8 rib eye steaks 4lbs of ground beef pkg separate in 2 packages. I alsi bought salmon and broth bones. The order I received upon unpacking was 6 steaks 2 1ib pkg's of ground beef and I was almost charge $4 a pound more for the salmon. To top it off after i acknowledged that i would like a receipt she moved on to the next customer without giving me one. My fault for not insisting but i was rushing to get the meat snd fish to fhe ice box in my car. Now when I call to to let them know im disappointed, all I got was bring in your receipt and discuss with ghe msnager. What kind of service is this?    Read moreI've been going to this shop weekly since I moved to the neighbourhood 12 years ago. I always found that the customer service behind the counter left to be desired (except for Cathy at the cash who is great). I feel that the female staff never want to serve me which I don't understand why. Several times, they would be talking among themselves behind the counter and turn their backs to me and keep talking while I was waiting. A male employee would eventually come and serve me. A variation of this scenario has been happening pretty much every week. So when it happened again this last Saturday, I thought that's it. I'm never going back. I will be going back to Butcher by Nature who are Masters at customer service.
BTW, another thing that always bothered me at Bloor Meats is the fact that they put products in front of the scale display so you can't see the information on the scale. Makes you wonder!

THEY TELL ME THEY DID NOT ORDER MY TURKEY SIZE AND TRY TO SELL ME ONE DOUBLE THE TROUBLE! I CAN ALWAYS GET A FROZEN TURKEY AT ANY GROCERY STORE. BUT I COME TO THEM FOR A FRESH ONE, LOCALLY SOURCED AND TO GIVE THEM THE BUSINESS. AND THIS IS HOW THEHY TREAT A LONG TIME CUSTOMER. MY ADVICE IS TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
