UPDATE NOVEMBER 2022 We went back for family night. The portions were at least 30% smaller. There were so few fries on my husband's plate he finished his fast and started pilfering mine, which never used to happen. We both had the fish and the fish was also at least 30% smaller. Predictably the price was the same though. It was annoying too that they allowed 2 parties of 3 people sit in the 2 booths meant for much larger parties.
APRIL2022 Great for family dinner night. As soon as we could, we went to eat there on the patio after lockdown. We were there in Apr 22 with 2 other families on a week night with all our kids and we felt really comfortable. The kids were a tad loud but the staff were cool about it and we were a bit separate from others. Since it was a Monday, no one seemed to mind and I'm the type of person who is hyper aware of this. Did shush the kids occaisionly just in case. The food is GREAT and generous. The kids menu is a recommend even though none of the 11 years olds wanted it. All the younger ones got it and still left food. The server was so nice, the main meals don't come w juice like the kids menu but he offered as he did with the ice cream. Thankfully, the boys who talked a big game on the adult meals neither finished their meal nor had space for ice cream :D I love their fish and chips AND LOVE there is the option for tater tots instead of fries. Their ravioli looked awesome and their spicy wings are apparently legit spicy. The Irish Nachos were good. I'd have those again. Recommend! ( i was a 4 but just read another 4 and I definitely liked it more than that 4 so...
Read moreDIABETICS BEWARE I went here last night with some friends while my blood sugars were dropping.
I was a little confused from the sugar drop and was fixating on the menu. "WHAT COULD I ORDER THAT WOULD COME FAST ENOUGH!?"
The server was rushing me and adding to my panic. Eventually it clicked and I asked the server for ginger ale and said "I'm having a diabetic episode."
She returned minutes later with other people's drinks and NOT MY OWN! SHE THEN STARTED TAKING FOOD ORDERS!
I told her I needed my drink for my blood sugar. She sassed back "I'll get it after I take the food order. Your drink wasn't ready and I can only carry so many drinks at once."
I insisted. She left and returned with my drink in a huff.
After she took the meal orders, my sugars returned to normal and the cloud of confusion from the drop lifted.
I then asked another server for the manager as I was naturally annoyed and concerned for the safety of the next diabetic.
I explained to him that his servers need to be retained in diabetic safety and told him the story of the situation.
He apologized and offered me a free dessert while also telling a story about slapping desserts out of the hands of his diabetic family member... Nice!
I declined and let the night continue, though my friends and I did talk about the stupidity of the fiasco.
Bills came. I expected that since the dessert was offered for free my drink would be on the house instead. I was charged over three bucks for it. My wife's tea, yes A TEA BAG WITH HOT WATER, cost the same.
I covered my wife's order, and my...
Read moreHad an absolutely terrible experience here last week.
I came in on a slower night to have some dinner. I ordered the chicken parm, and when it got to my table the exterior of the chicken was overcooked, nearly burnt. When I cut into the thicker part of the breast, half of it was raw (no, not slightly undercooked, genuinely pink and translucent.)
I let my waiter know and asked if the dish could be remade and he took it away; when he brought it back it was the same piece of chicken on the same plate of pasta. The chicken was clearly just taken off the noodles and tossed into the oven even longer, so it was now completely dry. On top of this, the pasta had gotten cold by this point, and still likely had traces of raw chicken from when I first cut it.
Despite all this, I would’ve shrugged it off if there was an inkling of remorse from any of the staff. However, no one came out from the kitchen, no manager came by to my table, and no refund or even slight discount was offered for a potentially hazardous meal served to a customer. The bill came out as normal.
All-in-all, I paid nearly 40$ to be served one beer and a dangerous piece of chicken on cold pasta. 0.5/5, at least the...
