Visited Reyna on King for brunch. The space is modern, but cold air—possibly from the air conditioning or an overhead vent—was blasting down directly onto our table throughout the meal, making it uncomfortable.

Lamb Shank Benny ($22): Served in a fried flatbread bowl with two poached eggs, riced cauliflower, and supposedly a lamb jus hollandaise. The shredded lamb was flavourful. However, the dish was missing the listed pine nuts and gremolata, and appeared to include labneh instead. While the flavours were pleasant overall, the missing elements stood out.

DIY Salmon Board ($24): The portion was small for the price. Presentation was clean, but this was more of a light plate.

Greek Fries ($10): Ultra thin and completely crispy—so much so that the crumbled feta didn’t adhere. The fries also seemed to lack the wild oregano promised on the menu. The lemon and feta dip was mild and could have used more acidity or brightness.

Mocktail ($12) and Cocktail ($17): not particularly memorable, too many small ice cubes so only a few sips.

Service was friendly and upbeat, but stretched. One server was managing the entire room. My water glass was cracked; when I requested a new one, the server brought me a fresh glass but forgot to pour water for my husband.

The experience was undermined by missing components, cold temperature at the table, and understaffed service. Some dishes had strong elements, but overall cohesion and attention to detail were lacking. We probably...

Had a mixed experience here. Only one waitress was working and she seemed very overwhelmed. When we got there, we were told no tables were available inside and we would have to sit on the patio, even though we had made a reservation. However, it was getting colder and windy outside, so eventually we asked to come back in and there was a free table for us. The decor is lovely, but it was also freezing in the restaurant as the patio doors/windows were open, many people were wearing coats or sweaters.

The food took a while to arrive, maybe around 45 minutes. The tea was lovely and I was happy with the short rib grilled cheese and salad. But our waitress forgot to bring us forks, and was unavailable for about 10 minutes. I understand it must have been overwhelming but it unfortunately led to poorer experience. I'm not sure who's fault it is, because our waitress was super friendly and lovely, and I feel like we would've had a better experience if there was another waiter, so our waitress could be more attentive to us.

Because two of us were celebrating birthdays, we got a free birthday dessert, which was honestly the best part of the meal! It would have been a better experience if our reservation made us a priority and we got to eat inside the whole time, if the restaurant was warmer, and if there was a second waiter so our waitress wasn't so...

On Oct 23rd I had the pleasure of dining in at “Reyna on King” a friend of mine had flown in from NS to take me out for my Birthday. It was both our first time eating there. It was recommend by friends of mine. Wow! I was blown away by everything! It started out with the amazing Shelayna who greeted us at the entrance and took us to our table, she was our waitress! Wow what an amazing human she is! She even suggested some of the things that were on the menu that would meet our expectations and it certainly did! It exceeded our expectations! Some of the Tapas we ordered are “Cauliflower Croquettes, “Calamari”, “Lamb Baklava” and “Italian Fries” In between our meals courses Xeni who is also an amazing human, checked in on us to see how things were and she also prepared our drinks. These two employees are both amazing together and really did Reyna proud! Also the food was OMG amazing! I have never tasted anything like it and my taste buds were screaming for more! Hats off to the chefs! I recommend “Reyna” a Top Notch restaurant!! And to top it off I ended the evening off with a birthday toast from Xeni! I recommend that these two ladies are a “Dynamic Duo” they work the Sunday night shifts! Thank you for making my birthday so so special! I am definitely returning for many more meals in the future!...
