❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ humbling story
I am so humbled beyond humbled right now. I went to salaama hut at Kipling and Rexdale which is a Somalian restaurant and we love there’s samosas. In my house I have to buy like 40 or 50 just for them to last a couple days. For some reason my Scotia bank card was not taking the tap swipe, even when I would insert the card and nothing would happen wouldn’t even say anything like fail transaction nothing so I called Scotiabank I was on the phone with them for about 40 minutes trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my card we attempted the card with the Scotia bank agent on the phone and this card still would not work so the people at the store said don’t worry go fix the card take your stuff come back tomorrow or next you order that in itself was such a blessing but one guy stepped out of the line and came up to me and said you know what brother I got this we went back-and-forth a little bit and he said to me sometimes I like to do a good deed and this is an opportunity for me I told him are you sure sir I can just go to the bank and try to fix whatever’s wrong with this card he said no let me bless you please I said Thank you very much I appreciate that and God bless you sir, it’s usually me who does stuff like this so it’s hard to be on the other end then he said we could rock paper scissor this and see who wins 😂 well he won so I am so humbled and grateful and it’s not like I just grabbed a couple samosas I got like 50 of those suckers and this guy stepped up to the plate and take care of the bill l and he said don’t worry I got you brother. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️woooow i’ve always love Somalian people they’re such nice people with great hospitality God bless him and the Somalian people I have always love them But this just took it to a new level and put my respect for them ...
Read moreThe two stars are purely for the insanely good Sambusa - I will be taking my business elsewhere when my cravings hit.
Do not waste your time ordering from their website, no matter how appealing the claim that you could "skip the line" may be. I ordered and paid for 8 sambusas early in the afternoon yesterday, and received an order confirmation/number for pick up that evening. I then received a text when my order was ready.
I arrived and there was no where for online pickup. I joined the line and a rude patron began trying to cut in line in front of me. When I made it to the front of the line, the staff were confused and stated they had not seen my order and I was put on the staff's phone with someone in charge. I clarified my order number/name/items several times and the man on the phone maintained that he could not see my order. Finally the man on the phone said the staff will give me my order - THEN THE STAFF BEGAN TRYING TO CHARGE ME AGAIN FOR MY ORDER. Again, I spoke to the man on the phone and he continued that my order did not exist. Only after 5 minutes of back and forth and mentioning pulling up my credit card history did he finally "FIND" my order. Bulls*!!!! "Skip the line" is a scam, and maybe the man in...
Read moreI haven’t seen more reasonable prices for the food items similar to the ones they serve here anywhere else. Large seating space. Best chilling place for a Halal crowd if you don’t mind the a bit old or classic furnishing-furniture that’s not posh. ( I’m afraid if they renovate it the prices might go up and I’m enjoying the current prices) Best tea, milk cake, tea cake, any food items like liver etc.
All of the time they have enough or more than enough staff to handle their operations. They don’t cheap out on Staffing.
If you’re Arab or African or Turk-Kurd based this is the best Samosa that you’ll have in GTA ( maybe the whole Canada) my Desi friends found the Samosa to be too bland ( Desi’s and their Spices being the culprit here). They don’t cheap out on fillings, they wholesomely fill the meat in Samosa, even though the prices are super inexpensive. Best spot that I have been visiting repeatedly on my days off or when I have enough time to go there for a tea.
May Allah bless the business further andbless the whole team with...
