I am really disappointed in my local SC. I have been buying coffee and scones from the Islington/Norseman location and others for years. My last three scone experiences have been horrible. The first time I was half way to work before I bit in so just threw it out, Tue second time I went back into the store and the woman explained that they have a new process in place - the scones are delivered frozen and thawed out - she said they get lots of complaints. Tue manager is aware but they cannot do anything about it. She also told me she was not permitted to refund but she could replace with something else. I didn’t want anything else so left empty handed paying for a scone I could not eat. Today I went through the drive thru - thought I would give it one more try - I love those raspberry scones - I asked the server if they were fresh - explained previous experience and he assured me they were fresh today. Nope! Not by a mile. The outside was slimy to the touch and the inside was like corrugated cardboard. This latest version is no where near the great scones from this location I have eaten time and time again. I showed the server at the window - I was polite and so was he. I handed him back the scone. I asked for the contact information for manager of the location and was told I could google it. Read moreStay away from drive through, save your vehicle. Drive through is too tight and scraped driver's side of my truck, scraping it along the pole and denting my truck. I told the barristers, they admitted that people in big vehicles have this problem. The pole that I hit during the turn has been hit before from previous vehicles who clearly have trouble making this turn. There is no signs in this drive through preventing big vehicles from going in. Had I known I WOULD NOT gone into the drive through with a truck. Apparently management knows their drive through is a problem, but they do not have signage for bigger vehicles.To add insult to injury, the coffee was cold and not hot. Read moreI went in to try the new Iced Matcha with Strawberry Rose Cold Foam. I was then given a clumpy matcha, I asked if this was normal and their response was “when the powder and hot water mix it becomes like that.” I asked if I had to mix it more, they said you can try but it’s been iced already. They kept looking at me like this was a normal occurrence, I mixed it but ultimately decided to leave as I had other things to do. From my understanding, they didn’t mix it properly before putting the ice in. I’ve attached photos of the matcha. I didn’t take a picture when it was all clumpy at the bottom, only after mixing it for a minute I took a picture.
