Shawarma Box Plus North York — Restaurant in Toronto

Hi, visited this place recently. The taste of the food/shawarma is delicious, portion is average not that good, too much waste salad. Price is little bit high compared to market but the ‘Ahmed’ guy who seems to be owner/head server of the store is extremely rude (the way he talks will make you mad).

Would like to give 1 star due to loud rude tone, the way he addresses customers, communicate with them is super rude. Buddy you need to be polite, humble and keep your tone down when you talk to your customers. No need to yell, act like all customers are your children or they work for you. Specially with female customers you were acting very bossy, rude, didn’t even give them chance to complete their sentences. Listen what they have to say buddy. Work with smile man and you will see the diff.

Guys remember shawarma box is not $6.99 as shows on the big banner on their glass wall. Box is actually $12 plus, too much confusion there. I am deeply troubled by the behavior of staff at this shop.

I used to get shawarma from this place daily until the day I walked in and the lady at the cash and the guy at the food prep station chorusly shouted that I didn't pay for my food the day before. They made this false accusation in front of other customers and they said they are going to make me pay the supposedly unpaid amount again. I was taken aback by the whole situation because I clearly remembered that I paid the previous day and I have even got the receipt. I collected myself from the shock and checked my bank statement and showed them my previous day's bank transaction to prove that I have paid for my food. After which the lady at the cash just sheepishly smiled and went about with her work. They didn't even care to apologize for their unprofessional behavior. I wonder what would have happened if I had paid by cash and hadn't gotten a receipt. Please be advised to get a receipt when and IF you buy from this shop. Never...

This was the first time I ordered the food (2 chicken shawarma plates) from your restaurant as I like the traditional middle eastern food and wanted to try your food. No doubt the food was tasty but the guy who served that order to me was very rude and arrogant. His conduct was very bad. I entered the store to pickup my order and was just about to say something as I wanted to add some item to my order but he didn’t allow me to speak at all and instead said “oh please give me some time” with the very ignorant and rude expressions. After that he just gave my order and did not even ask what I was saying to him. The way he was packing my order was very unusual. He seemed to be disinterested while packing the order. Because of his misbehaviour I wanted to cancel that order but I had no option because it was already 8:15 or 8:30 pm.
