SHAWARMA ROX — Restaurant in Toronto

The food is decent but service left a very sour taste in my mouth today.young Filipino employee was completely rude and entitled. I simply voiced my concern about the fact that a mix shawarma is a dollar more. Normally they will charge you the more expensive meat just.

Instead of acknowledging my concern and being customer service oriented, she says "well thats how it is, i cant change it just for you" i said ok fine ill take the chicke just.. i continued to use my phone and explain the situation as my friend asked what happend... the employee immediately gave me cut eye and went to the back. After waiting for a few minutes i said "HELLO" and she comes out like are you ready now?

Ive been ready waiting for you to make my shawarma??? This went on and she continued to assume i was rude or complained etc etc when customer service role is clearly not her strong suit.... finally another senior employee came to help (siding with the other employee to degress which i didnt appreciate but feel they were friends or relatives) the younger employee stormed off cursing in her language under her breath..

I nor any other customer (especially regulars) dont deserve this inconvenience, disrespect or stress... Hopefully there is some future training for these employees..

From the moment we entered the restaurant, Ahmed greeted us warmly and made us feel genuinely welcome. His professionalism and attentiveness throughout our dining experience were truly commendable. Ahmed took the time to explain the menu, providing insightful recommendations that perfectly matched our preferences.

First visit today. The four stars is more for the value. The prices are very fair. The shawarmas aren't bad but I see room for improvement.

Suggestions:

~ Add a garlic sauce of some kind. Made with yoghurt maybe.

~ I'd like a little more char on the chicken. Adds flavor. Maybe flatten the chicken out more before putting on the spike?

~ The slaw is ok as an option but I would definitely like to see tabbouleh as an option with the traditional ingredients. The lemon and parsley would add depth the shawarma. Plus, you can add the cucumber to the tabbouleh then take it off the list of toppings on it's own, which isn't traditional.

~ option to add rice as one of the toppings to choose from?

~ Summary, just a bit more variety of flavor would be nice, hence the garlic sauce, char on chicken and the parsley/lemon.
