As if access the disability act is new or something the owner supposed owner that is Meg didn't have time to go get a card or any proper identification. As you know, taking $10 for UFC takes precedence over violating and human rights of a disabled person at that with multiple DSM-5 categorized conditions, i travel with the service engine. She proceeded to ostracize me at the front making me point out where my friend was and telling him to come either which I said b* and then proceeded to realize once I focused in after my anger unfocused that it was right at the bar and I said I'm sitting at the bar. She proceeded me pull her whatever. But yeah, let's just say I had the end of that yet It says click all that apply. Where's the nunwalk having disabled person? My rights were severely violated although you may not be able to hear it. I'm sure it's on a camera and she never proceeded to do that to another customer prior. I bet. Definitely after Meg Meg meg .... You might be the owner. It might be corporate but I guarantee that food ink company I've been looking at will care what I'm saying
I can't brea UFC apparently a $10 piece I came the night before to see if I needed a reservation cold. No first come first service. It came at 12:30. Same thing then at 110 when I walk through or so that's where this Meg, owner, violin and human rights. Unbelievable
I wasn't joking about 311 too bad you didn't call them cuz they would have told you you're wrong in the wrong and still will when I call them that green pot regulated by 311 city for arano. See you next Tuesda I wasn't sure if you could remember the number so I just got off a phone with 311. Expect a follow up with two of their licensing and regulatory officers in the next two business days. I should be here in back by Monday or Tuesday from them and how they have addressed or these concerns
Meg for someone customer service, especially an owner, a proprietor of a business franchise name. You think that you might want to represent your franchise that you own a little bit more legitly and not violate human rights, let alone the access is disability act Ontario access to disability act, Toronto actually disability Canada and access to disability act...
Read moreThey were not like this two years ago.
During this visit, 1) the burger was visually appealing, and 2) the staff lowered the electronic curtains when there was sun. These were the only evidence of good service left, and then a series of problems arose.
First, the Seasonal Vegetables side dish was the worst I have ever had. The carrot and broccoli were very dry and impossible to bite (see photos).
Secondly: The host left without waiting for me to sit down. The leather on the seats have severely worn down. A fork was given to me without a knife. After I was done, the server took my napkins away before I had a chance to wipe my mouth.
Thirdly, the server’s attitude changed from attentive to hostile after I paid my bill. She looked at the POS machine and narrowed her eyes--perhaps she wasn't satisfied with the tipping. How could she (and the restaurant) expect an abundant tip for this kind of food and service? I told the server to bring back the napkins, but she defensively said “you’ve had your chance” and left. What made it worse was that my friend, a newcomer to Canada, had a similar experience at another Shoeless Joe’s recently—the server literally threw the receipt onto his table after he didn’t tip.
Luckily, the manager of this location assured me that he will "speak with the server" and that "she is a good girl". However, when I reached out to upper management to express my general concern, they haven’t gotten back to me for weeks.
Shoeless Joe’s used to be my favourite restaurant. I will give them another try. If they disappoint me again, I will never return or invite my friends to this restaurant...
Read morePleasantly surprised by how nice this sports bar is. It has everything that you might want - lots of screens viewable from every seat, high ceilings make it feel airy and light, comprehensive menu of food and drink appropriate for watching sports. I would definitely go back.
However, I'm removing a couple of stars from what would be a 5 star review because our experience with the staff was not great:
We called to reserve a table for the Fury vs Whyte fight and were assured it would be playing. We also checked again the day of, and on arrival and were told it would be showing. Then, 15 minutes before the fight starts:
"oh not enough people reserved so we're not paying for the PPV".
That was the whole reason we were there, and at no point were we told there was a possibility that it wouldn't be showing. If they'd said "we'll play it if we get enough reservations but there is a chance that we won't" that would have been much better. As it was we had to down our drinks and run to an uber somewhere else to catch the start of the fight.
I was also short changed shortly after the above conversation and had to ask for the rest of my change so that I could leave a tip. I guess the waitress was worried that I might not leave one because I was mad, so took one without asking? I did get my change after asking and left a tip.
This last 15 minutes that we were there really soured what was otherwise a great experience watching the Raptors in the playoffs. And despite that I would still go back... Just maybe...
