The Wyck Recommendation: Soma Chocolatemaker Rating: 3.5/5 Bean to Bar Nerd Heaven But Bring a Fat Wallet
Intro Scene We sat on the curb out front, pistachio gelato melting faster than our patience for explaining why a tiny scoop costs the same as a cheap lunch. Behind us the shiny roaster hummed, bins of beans, the smell of cocoa, the sense that you should whisper about terroir like itâs wine. Maybe weâre just not built for this chocolate cult. Maybe weâre not worthy.
What Was Ordered Pistachio gelato good not mind blowing Toffee ice cream also fine but didnât start any new religions Extra credit for the wild chocolate displays toffee barks truffles bars. Everything made in house which you can literally see through the glass
Service Commentary Friendly enough a little brisk. Nobody held a cacao seminar for us but you can tell theyâd geek out if you asked
Vibe Check Itâs like stepping into a lab for the chocolate obsessed. Crowds hover like bees. Small bright smells incredible. Not the place to lounge you grab your gold and you go
The Space Itself Clean minimal and proudly shows off the behind the scenes roasting drums trays of beans that soft serve cone sign out front so you know youâre about to drop eight bucks on a scoop the size of a toddlerâs fist
About the Neighborhood Tucked into the Distillery District or whichever Soma you hit so expect tourists cobblestone and zero parking if youâre driving. Best enjoyed on foot with nowhere to be
Hits & Misses â Chocolate made in house you can see every bean â Beautiful packaging great gift material â Gelato is fresh pistachio was the better of the two â The price is wild for the portion â Toffee ice cream was just okay â None of us fell in love maybe itâs us
Final Verdict If you worship bean to bar chocolate youâll probably die happy here. If you just want a scoop of ice cream to ruin your shirt you might walk away wondering what you paid for. Everythingâs made in house ethically sourced and exquisitely wrapped but for the gelato Maybe we just donât understand
Perfect For Gifting chocolate to someone you want to impress Trying to look fancy with a sixteen dollar pint youâll secretly eat alone
All plain no hyphens no em dashes no break lines. Confirm if this is the final version or if you want any...

Treat yourself for all your hard work with a box of chocolate truffles, behind each flavour is both a thoughtful creation and knowledgeable execution. Sampling through each flavour is like a journey, with my personal favourites being the yuzu toki whiskey. The whiskey aroma doesn't punch you in the face, but harmonizes well with a sweet acidity of the yuzu to compliment the bitterness of the alcohol and rich dark chocolate coating. Nonetheless, each piece of chocolate is tempered for a satisfying crunch that easily melts in your mouth to coat your tongue with an indulgent taste of high quality cocoa.
The Baci di Dama are sleeper pick, the roasted hazelnut cookies are delightfully buttery and moist, kissing each other through a rich cocoa filling that are easy to finish all six in...

Hum) Until some of my patients told me itâs absolutely a great place to get chocolate and I shouldnât miss it! đ so I finally went there today! Although itâs almost close, there are still lots of people getting their ice cream and chocolate! I had 3 little bites to try the flavour and eventually got a small box of truffle chocolate of 8 different flavours (want more!! But quite pricy! $2.5/each chocolate) and when you get more there are not cheaper đ & also got two small 4 Oz containers of Gelato đ§!! I choose Plum and butter tart đ ($5.97+Tax/each) Quite yummy! (I would love to try Guava and lemon sour cream next trip to there! đ) Absolutely loving it!
Only opened the box and tried one truffle chocolate so far! Canât wait to finish and...
