Very bad experience yesterday around 8:30 p.m. I ordered caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino beverage. After getting my order I didn't receive bill. I asked at counter about their closing time & I was told it is 9 pm so I asked can I sit on patio & got answer Yes. So I took my drink and came out and sat on one of the chair facing the mall I had just finished taking my first sip then one of the staff member came and told me that we had they have to close the patio because it's their closing time. So I told her it's only 8:40 and I just need to drink my coffee and she replied that I can sit somewhere else like Subway or maybe somewhere else when the time was 8:45 and she was literally standing behind me ensure that I leave. In her rush I dropped my entire drink and this staff didn't even say or show any courtesy to respond but she just rudely went in and brought her cleaning supplies and started cleaning. It was just 8:45 and they were still 15 minutes before closing of the shop. I was totally exhausted after a hard day and very tired. I was made to stand without a drink that I paid for. I'm an old lady and I don't think this is the treatment anyone should get from the store. The barista gave her the drink, and it was white and my sister didnāt like the drink and asked for a refund and the barista who identified as white was extremely rude and patronizing towards my sister and my father. Though my father has a hearing problem, he didnāt hear her mocking my father and my sister heard the girlās tone of voice and speaking and she was visibly upset. I get that it was 30 mins till your shift ended but to be rude to a customer is not ok. It seemed that the girl eventually gave my sister a refund. There was also some microgression accompanied with it too. I will be calling this location and complaining this person to her manager directly. There needs to more diversity training implemented for this person to learn especially when she is working in a racialize community. To have your sibling be visibly upset about it to the point where she broke down and at a time when there is a pandemic and the need to be kind, this matters. Being kind matters. They changed the coffee, but again, they gave us cold coffee. I am a regular customer of Starbucks, and I know the taste of the drinks. Before that, they were chatting with another lady, keeping us standing in line for at least 7 minutes. There were 2 girls who were super rude. One was white, another was black. I want to give negative ratings. I hope Starbucks should do something about it. Because it is a global brand and it should maintain itās quality of food and customer service.
