I catered food from this restaurant yesterday and we had a HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT order food from Desi Taste. Every piece of tandoori CHICKEN was UNDERCOOKED/ RAW. This was a major health concern. The Chicken Biryani was also UNDERCOOKED/ RAW. The rice was not cooked thoroughly and each grain was hard. It simply tasted bad.

One by one, all of my guests were discreetly throwing their uneaten food in the trashcan. It was so EMBARRASSING. As the hosts of the party, we had to order food from another restaurant at the last minute to accommodate the uncooked dishes and hungry guests.

The worst part of this experience— aside from the health risks and embarrassment of hosting a big party with hungry guests from overseas— was that after calling the owners and speaking to them sincerely about the issues with those two huge dishes and kindly requesting for some compensation, they were very DISMISSIVE and stern about not giving even $1 back for the raw meat they provided. They had me on the phone for over 40 minutes BLAMING ME, asking, “why didn’t I check the state of the inside of the chicken from the store? Why didn’t I notice that the rice would taste hard?”. This was very unfortunate because I wanted to give them a chance to rectify their mistake but instead they were RUDE, DISMISSIVE and offered NO SOLUTION. I offered to drive 25 mins to them and bring back all the meat just to show them that when you open it, each of them were raw, and they said “sure you can do that but we still aren’t giving you anything for it”.

Catered for a big family dinner from here and I have never in my life received such terrible food, it is a health concern as they do not know how to cook chicken. The chicken tandoori was completely raw and the chicken biryani was undercooked. My family couldn’t eat any of the chicken as it was not edible. Called them back to give them an opportunity make it right and rectify the situation but they took no accountability and instead tried to blame us for the issues with the food saying that just because you don’t like the taste doesn’t mean you get compensated. We explained kindly and calmly that it’s not about taste it’s about a health concern and undercooked. We had big party and we had to order food from a different restaurant so that our guests could eat which was very embarrassing. I am shocked that a business would spend 30 minutes on the phone blaming us for their raw and undercooked food and saying the most they’ll do is next time we order from them they’ll throw in a couple extra pieces of chicken for free. This isn’t the first time they undercooked our chicken, hence why we called 3 times to ensure it was extra well done (you really shouldn’t even have to say well done for chicken).
