On April 21, 2024 at 10:30pm I dealt with some terrible customer service from the late night server. I asked him for a 12" sub then he cut the sub in half to give me a 6"
I noticed he had an earbud in one ear so I assumed he did not hear me.
I then asked him for lettuce and spinach, he put the lettuce and a few spinach leafs. I asked him for more spinach but he then went to put on the cucumbers that I asked for.
Assuming that he did not hear me once again because of the earbud in his ear I repeated with a louder voice if he can please add more spinach.
He then replied "I AM GOING TO PUT IT ON AFTER I PUT ON THE CUCUMBERS, PLEASE CALM DOWN!"
I then replied to not tell me to calm down and that it is very passive aggressive to speak to someone like that.
He then replied that I was being rude because I rose my voice when asking him to "Please add some more spinach"
He kept on insisting that I was being rude because I rose my voice even though I had asked him to PLEASE add more spinach.
I then had to explain to him that him wearing an earbud and giving me a 6" instead of a 12" lead me to assume that he could not hear my and was the reason for me raising my voice. He then said his earbud doesn't work. I then asked, "how would I know it doesn't work from my perspective when you seemed to not hear me at first when I had asked for a 12"?"
I then explained to him that he could have replied differently to not receive what he thought was a rude response. I told him that if he asks anyone one to "CALM DOWN" including, friends, family, spouse that he would not get a positive reaction.
I am not someone who interacts with people in a rude manor and was very disappointed in the customer service. If I was swearing and screaming I would understand asking someone to CALM DOWN. Staff should not interact with their customers with such an attitude.
I hope that the owner or manager speaks to this staff about how they should interact with their customers. Maybe they should also tell them not to wear earbuds during their shift to avoid situations like this. It is quite unprofessional to be wearing earbuds during ones shift at work. If they want to talk on the phone or listen to music they should find another way that does not compromise customer service.
I hope to hear from someone about this situation as soon...
Read moreI have been to this location few times, The food is hit and miss most of the times as I can not depend on them as I had bad sandwiches as well as good sandwiches at times and bad in terms of main ingredient not cooked properly in the sense that it is not thawed properly or heated properly etc, the staff is also good. but there was this one incident that happened on weekend and because of that I do not go to this location anymore, That time I had ordered a sandwich from Subway app and I went to the store to pick it up and the guy said that they do not have eggs available so I can not get the sandwich and then instead of offering me another sandwich of the same size and mostly same kind of price the guy called the Manager and asked what to do and whomever he talked to on the phone must have asked the guy that who is the customer(In terms of Origin or Ethnicity) and since the staff is Indian and so am I the employee said on the phone that the customer is Indian so the employee was told(from the person on the other line of the call) to cancel the order rather than offering another sandwich option so they cancelled the order and then obviously I went to another location and that location did not have the egg sandwich as well and the employee(If it matters this employee was of Indian origin as well) working at that location did not call anyone and just offered me another sandwich option and that is called customer service. so this location needs better management for sure as It should not matter what origin I am they could have handled this situation well, and talking about being Indian this restaurants full staff and the owner is also Indian and they should know how many Indian people lives in Scarborough and if this is their attitude towards their "Indian customers" I applaud them for neglecting that many potential customers. I am still giving them 2 stars as I did have few good sandwiches and they are open 24*7 so that is also a kind...
Read moreWorst Experience Ever. This was by far the worst place to order food from. I specifically requested extra toppings on my order, but instead, I received a footlong sandwich with just six olives, barely any lettuce, spinach, or green peppers, and the bare minimum amount of sauce—practically none at all. When I called the store to address this at 2 a.m., the employee argued with me, claiming that Subway’s “recipe” only allows six olives on a footlong.
On top of that, I also ordered a bag of chips, which I paid for, but they completely forgot to send it. When I called to report this, the employee asked me to come to the store to pick it up, as if that’s convenient at 2 a.m. If I had a car, I wouldn’t have ordered delivery in the first place! He then said their manager would look into it the next morning.
This location really needs better management. I’d appreciate it if the manager reads this review and provides proper training to staff on meeting basic expectations for customer service and food preparation. Such a disappointing experience, and a total...
