DO NOT GO HERE WITH COUPONS. FIND A BETTER SUBWAY STORE IF YOU CAN.
I was in a happy mood when we went to this subway location, and since we had subway coupons, my husband and I decided to order some subs. We were going to use 2 of their coupons (1 for each one of us) since it's a separate order, when we got told that ONLY 1 coupon can be used per visit and I cannot use a coupon even if it's a separate order since we both came in together and that counted as a "visit". The manager at this location treated us with hostility, answered my husband, and dismissed his questions in a bad tone. I told my husband that it may be this store policy that they have in place, and they can not just change that and so we decided to leave.
However, I do not want the bad feelings to linger as I just recently gave birth and have a postpartum depression, so I decided to confront the one who was serving us—who happens to be the manager at this location about the way they serve their customers. When confronted and given a constructive criticism, He said that he's done with groups of people coming in together and using the coupon for each and one of them because he said that it makes them lose some profits. Which I don't understand, as I thought coupons were given out as a form of marketing and to attract customers by giving them some discounts. He also mentioned that his tone was like that because of customers coming in and giving them headaches every day. I previously worked at Tim Hortons, Shoppers, Canadian Tire, and until recently, I worked in healthcare. And I told him that that's not the way to treat the customers. I get that they're busy, but when we visited, the store was completely empty, but they kept rushing us as if the store was really full.
In the end, he apologized for his tone, but it felt so insincere. He said that he only talked to my husband, but for me, when we're outside together, he's an extension of me. So, how he dismissed and treated him with hostility while we we're in there, it felt like it's also being done to me and it's hard seeing your partner getting treated as if they were less just because he asked or inquired about the coupons.
10 out of 10, WOULD NEVER...
Read moreCame into this location and asked about the deals on the app. The "sandwich artist" told me I had to order those through the app so I sat down to do so. It didn't appear to be working for me so I called my daughter to ask her if she could try for me. She says she hasn't had luck with the app in a few weeks. So I asked the "sandwich artist" to help with that. She decides that now is the time to tell me this location doesn't accept the offers cause they ended Oct 8 I said well clearly none of them do. She could have started with that instead of telling me to go to the app. I've been in customer service for many years... the right thing to do would have been to offer the discount.... it was $3 off . Subway can't offer $3 to someone who was looking for the deal on the app. Regardless I asked for her name and her managers name. She went to the back and probably spoke to a manager who said not to give that info. I asked for the address and phone number of the store and she looked like she didn't want to give me that. She said she didnt know the phone number, i called BS on that. At the very least they should have signs up saying the app doesn't work. It frustrating that she told me to use the app when she knows full well it doesn't work. I only ate here tonight because I was hungry. For the record I have never had a problem with the...
Read moreThis store originally made my girlfriend and I love going to subway and we were there pretty much every other day. Recently we noticed staff had changed and we were so disappointed with the service.
I can list out everything that went wrong with our most recent order for you to get a clear idea of the service you will receive here now:
The girl that served us:
Rushed the order and barely put any toppings on our salads. She further used the same bowl to mix our salads in without even asking us if it was okay. She touched the salad (it was a chopped salad) and did not change her gloves and grabbed sauces with the same gloves on.
Stated she was out of toppings and a sauce and said there was none in the back.
Stopped in the middle of our order to read a large UberEats order. It's understandable she had to accept it but she went through all the details while we were there and there were a couple of other people waiting.
Did not know how to use the Subway rewards program and just said we had to pay and that she didn't know what it was.
I would recommend staying away from this Subway. It's unfortunate for me because it's so close to my house and was great for the keto diet we were on.
I have posted a picture under food to show the end result of a chopped salad. Look at the container size and what...
