I ordered an eggs sunset poached medium I came in and the store messed it up. I asked for it to be made again and the manager Sheena started arguing with me saying that at this location their poached medium eggs are runny. I tried to explain to her that I've been going to sunset grill for about a year now and she continued cutting me off and arguing with me. Eventually she told me to stop talking because I old her I think she's rude and rather not speak to her anymore. I left took a breather and came back for a refund I was actually so upset I left the food. When I came back in I asked for a refund and she said but you left the food and we had to make it twice. She tarted arguing with me again and admitted that she was being rude because she thought I was being rude. I tried to explain to her that as a manager she is to try and diffuse th situation not escalate it and she continued cutting me off arguing with me, mind you at this point all I did was ask for a refund. Eventually another staff can over apologizing profusely and issued the refund for me while Sheena continued muttering irrelevant a things under her breath. I apologized other if she felt I was being rude due to my initial frustration and she didn't apologize back. She continued arguing with me and lying when I brought up the fact that she told me to stop talking. Overall awful awful experience that reflects poorly on the organization as a whole. I don't know how a person so combative, aggressive and abrupt could be in a position of leadership when she couldn't handle something as simple as remaking an eggs Benedict. Read moreMy boyfriend and I frequent this location, as it is nearby to my house. Yesterday was the first time we've visited since the mandates lifted again. There was another couple in front of us who were waiting, and everyone was just walking by us like they didn't see us. I didn't take offense to that, because I could see that everyone was really busy. When someone came to tend to us (I later found out this was the owner), she asked to see proof of vaccination from the couple in front of us, and then told them they would be seated in a few minutes. She then came to us, and scanned out our vaccine QR codes, which I thought was very odd because she didn't scan the other couples. I asked her if she had plans on scanning theirs, and she rolled her eyes and said "ugh...I told them to wait, I'll scan theirs too". 1. We were the only black people there. 2. She didn't end up scanning theirs. 3. She didn't scan anyone else's afterwards - I was watching. When I brought this concern up to my waitress, she responded that she's never seen anyone's QR code get scanned- she didn't even know they had that capability. We should've left immediately after, and I'm still kinda mad at myself for not doing so. This is the first time I've experienced something like this, and I think it's disgusting. If it's the policy that everyone's proof is to be scanned, then that should be it - EVERYONE'S code should be scanned. Read moreWe were the first 2 people to arrive at a full restaurant and had to wait. No problem. Other groups of people arrived and because tables of 4 opened up first the group's who arrived after us got seated first. We were left waiting 10 minuutes while we watched 4 other groups of people get seats. We should have gotten the FIRST table that opened up. Not the 5th. What is the point of taking my name if you are just going to make us wait until you are ready to seat us cause we aren't a full table. Oh 4 people get you more money than 2. I understand now.
The owner tried to console me by apologizing for leaving us waiting while she attended to larger money groups of people and wanted to give me a pat on the back or a hug or something. You do not touch anyone that you do not know. Not acceptable!
Was finally seated and order was taken. I keep an eye out for our order to see what the owner does to make the angry guy happy. We were seated right next to the cooks so I could see our order get made and placed so the waitress could pick it up and give it to us. It sat there for 19 minutes while the other employees chatted or did other chores. When it did arrive it was cold. I sent it back. No one came to see if we wanted more coffee even. The owner did not follow up with our order or our service. I left after almost an hour without eating and getting frustrated. Sent over another waitress to apologize instead of being the responsible business owner.
