Sunset Grill — Restaurant in Toronto

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this location and was honestly astonished by the poor customer service. We waited over an hour for our food, all the tables that were seated with us and after us received their food and finished their meals while we waited. The waitress simply started avoiding us everytime we tried to get her attention to ask about our order. After an hour we decided to leave, I approached the waitress and told her we were waiting for over an hour she laughed and said "yeah". I said I wanted to leave and would have appreciated an update if there was an error made in the kitchen. I also told her perhaps moving forward she should follow up with the kitchen if there's a delay in an order being fulfilled or atleast acknowledge the table. She was incredibly rude, said she punched in our order and isn't responsible for the kitchen and what they do. She even said wow I forgot about your order, its not my fault, I'm new here and just made excuses, didn't even apologize. She then had the audacity to charge us for the 2 coffees that we had been sipping on for over an hour. So unprofessional. I get its just a sunset grill but we often go with family and friends for brunch and have good experiences. The waitress was so rude. I will not be visiting this location again and will definitely tell my friends and family to also avoid this location unless they want to wait hours for their food and be met with rude staff. Such poor customer service, honestly the owner needs to have a word with their staff, I get your a franchise and people just walk in and out but experiences like these will make someone not want to ever come back. Awful experience - poor customer service and brown straight hair in my food. First I requested over hard eggs, and the eggs weren’t cooked. I showed the waiter and she stated that she will have the Cook make me new eggs. However, the Manager tried to put the same eggs back on the grill with the ketchup and hot sauce that I put on it, and proceeded to argue with me about how the eggs had been made as he played around in the eggs. Then as I waited for the eggs and continued to eat the harsh browns, I noticed brown straight hair ( I have black curly hair) wrapped around the hash brown. I called him outside where I was sitting and showed him. He tried to say that the wind probably blew the hair in the food. Although it was not windy and the hair was wrapped around the food, oppose to sitting on top of the food if the wind blew it there. Then he proceeded to speak over me as I responded to his rationale and tried to ask his waiter to agree that he wasn’t also implying that I somehow put the hair there. Even though his Cooks hair is the colour of the hair in my food! He then offered to take 50% of the price for the meal. I stated no as I had ordered 3 eggs, with bacon and hash browns and had only gotten to eat the bacon with some of the harsh brown before I noticed the hair wrapped around the harsh brown at the side of the plate. He then responded that’s probably what I wanted all a long. The service here is atrocious, and unclean and it ought to be shut down! And the food was served like...

Horrible Christmas brunch. DONT EVER GO HERE. Came here today for brunch. Called today today before I went to ask if it was really busy they told us no. We went got seated right away. We ordered food and I asked for my potatoes to get well done they said we don’t do that. Which I thought was weird since I’ve been there so many times before. Then I asked to speak with the manger who was standing at the cash right I didn’t of me. I saw the servers tell him and he never came. Even when I saw he wasn’t busy. Which is VERY RUDE. At this point I was waiting for about 30-35 minutes nothing. The tables beside me finally started to get there orders so it gave us hope. I finally ask the waiter hey like honestly are we soon if not we can go. He said the cook put sausage instead of turkey bacon but he’s gonna replace it. I was revolted. I said I don’t eat pork and why would they not change the whole meal since it already was added to the full plate. Disgusting. If I wanted pork I would have ordered it. We saw them do it and try and change it before our eyes. We were sitting at table number 2. Even took pictuers. The other sunset grill at weston rd is amazing and the service. Never went to a Resturant where they tell you can’t order well done home fries or well done...
