I give this location negative stars if I could. Absolutely the worst experience at this location.

Went for dinner with my mom and my toddler at this location. Everything seemed fine walking in. I approached the hostess told her 2 adults with a child and I'll need a high chair. The girl said ok she will be with us shortly. Another hostess comes up and says to me 2 and a child? I said yes and I'll need a high chair. They take us to a booth where i asked again for a high chair.

The waitress came and rushed my mom and i to order drinks. She did not ask if my child will be having anything or even a what can i get the child. At this point the drinks came and I'm still waiting for a high chair where They proceeded to give me a booster seat and said the highchair will block the walk way. I've already asked 3 times. On the 4th time I said I need a high chair my child is falling out of the booster.

The waitress then says ok ill have to move you like it was an Inconvenience when from the very beginning I've been asking for a high chair.

I asked for a table with a high chair what's so hard to understand????

The waitress moved us now and started rushing us to order. She saw I had my child with me and did not proceed to take my order for my child but rushed my mother and I to order. I had to ask where is the kids menu? Her response to me was we don't have printed ones. I asked what's on it i can order for my kid?

I placed my order and thought that was the end of that and atleast my childs food would come first but i was wrong. Keep in mind I'm already here for 30+ minutes.

The waitress comes back and says to me your meals with dark chicken will be an additional 20 min. Why wasn't this not communicated to me earlier?? Why did I have to wait over 30+min only to be told I have to wait another 20 min and my child is hungry!! no this is unacceptable.

I asked to speak to the manger where I told her I was unhappy with the service and I will not be paying for my drinks that we're on the table. she can absorb the cost of the drinks for the poor service. Her response was to me you asked to speak to the manager and I'm here to solve the problem, where I told her probelm solved you pay for these drinks because my mother daughter and I are leaving. This is unacceptable for a hospitality environment.

My request for a basic high chair was not met. No communication of no printed kids menu or no communication of what's on the kids menu with my child present. Service was rushed and not friendly. Worst ever.

I left and went to the location at Scarborough town centre. within 15 min of my arrival my child had her meal in a high chair, with a printed menu and yes we were seated at a booth where the high chair was in the walk way.

I got delivery last night from this location and it was the first time in a couple of years because last time was not good at all. Last time 2 years ago the chicken was completely dried out and not even edible. It must have been left on too long or sitting under a heat lamp for hours or days even.

Last night I decided to try again and it was amazing. I got Chicken and 1/2 back ribs and it was all cooked to perfection and I was very impressed at the quality even for a cheaper meal. There was so much food I couldn't even finish it and I wanted to because it was so fresh and so good. The delivery was fast even though it was New Years eve!

I would definitely recommend this location and even for take out or delivery. It was even better than most times I ate in the restaurant. These guys have really kicked it up a notch and it was the best Swiss Chalet mean I have ever had in almost 50 years. The desert was even really good. I had the cheese cake and with strawberry topping and there were real strawberries in it and the portion was much bigger than I expected.

I am so glad I put my last experience behind me and tried them again. I used to love swiss chalet but fell away with them but they won me back for sure and it's because of the awesome job they are doing at this location.

I see some bad reviews but take them with a grain of salt. I see one guy is complaining that the lady did not understand his order but his English is terrible and his post almost needs a translator lol She probably could not understand anything the guy was saying lol. After a poor experience at a different restaurant several years ago which left me unwell, Swiss Chalet has never made my food venue go-to list over the past few years. However, when my dad recieved a gift card, we decided to give it a try for lunch a few days ago... the result of the matter: a surprisingly great experience!

Although I was initially worried that our minimal dine-in order of 1 entree & 1 drink would go to the dismay of our waitress (we weren't very hungry)... those fears were quickly squandered once our lovely waitress Connie introduced herself! From the get-go, she provided great service, and was quick to bring our waters, all the condiments/ swiss chalet sauce, and even a little bowl of water without us having to ask.

The food, was portioned well (we ordered 1 double leg dinner & shirley temple). And was enough to statiate both appetites. The chicken was well portioned & tasted delicious (first time I've ever had chicken 'fall-off-the-bone', a term I thought was strictly reserved for ribs!!), and the grenadine to soda level was on point.
