Taking way too long for food waited almost one whole hour for one or two items
Waiter and waitresses were nice but they kept forgetting to give enough utensils and plates. For example, if there was four people at a table, they'd give three plates. When you tell them to get you more spoons and forks they would come back to you in 30 minutes
Food was very old looking it smelled funky and like dirty dishwater, I could make better things at home.
Place was very disorganized as if they were not prepared for so many people to come in and order.
Food wasn't even good portion sizes are very small compared to the price and tasted bland.
Ordered the nachos which was way too greasy and nachos always comes with cheese. I have never had nachos where they didn't have cheese. They're nachos was mixed with mayonnaise and ketchup and they barely put on any chicken. It's like they rubbed the chicken on the chips. Nachos is one of the simplest dishes to ever make. It's really hard to mess up. It's literally chips with cheese and a bunch of vegetables and meat on top. How do you mess up Nachos??
Also ordered the soup which was absolutely horrible. The color look like swamp water from a drain and it tasted like old Curry that was left over in the fridge and mixed with hot water. Not fresh at all. The only fresh thing I would like to think at the restaurant was the the small piece of cilantro on top of the beef.
Fried rice should not come with ketchup already. On top of it who eats rice with ketchup? If somebody requests it or if it comes on the side, leave it on the side. Do not put it on the rice
I understand that given the current state of the economy, food is bound to be expensive. Same with ingredients. However, the price should reflect in flavor as well as portion size and service. It's better to have a smaller menu but have very delicious food from those small items. You don't need an extensive menu. I know burger places that have five things on the menu and they are out of this world. We spent $40 on three or so items and that is way too much given how little we ate.
I encourage the owners and the cooks of the establishment to really have a good look at the comments and get some feedback and apply it to their their shop. If you own a restaurant, I think at the very bare minimum the food should taste decent it doesn't have to be five star but decent is the bare minimum. The food here was absolutely disgusting. I well also wish to add that everybody was excited to come to this restaurant because it was Thai food inspired by Bengali food and Bangladeshi owned, if I knew that the food was inspired by the rickshawalla side of Bangladesh I would have stayed home. You can't just make food and stamp thai on top of it. The food has to actually reflect the cuisine it was inspired from. Please do not tell people that you guys are a Bangladeshi Thai place. It gives Bangladesh a very bad reputation
If you guys want good Thai food, go to thai on Rock on Ellesmere or go to jatujak or Chiang Mai all halal certified and quality and portion is both bigger and...
Read moreThere are restaurants you visit for convenience, and then there are those that leave a lasting impression - not just for their food but for their warmth and heart. My visit to Thai Fusion Restaurant (461 Pharmacy Ave) was one of those rare experiences that nourishes both the appetite and the soul.
I went with family and was genuinely touched by their kindness. Every staff member was humble, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome.
The food was exceptional - we tried Singara, Thai Soup, Wonton, Fried Rice, Vegetables, Chit-roti with Beef Curry, Polao, Chicken Roast, and Tehari. Every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and impressively close to authentic Bangladeshi flavors (about 91-95%!). Excellent quality, generous portions, and worth every minute of waiting.
It’s a small (around 24-seats) restaurant - clean, cozy, and perfect for family meals. Prices are fair, service is top-notch, and the overall experience feels heartfelt.
Thai Fusion Restaurant isn’t just a place to eat - it’s a place to feel welcome. From the kindness of the staff to the soulful Bangladeshi-inspired dishes, everything about this little gem makes you want to return. It’s a reminder that food is about connection - with people, memories, and flavors that feel like home.
⚠️ Friendly reminder: Don’t count calories or expect drive-through speed. This is the kind of place where you slow down, socialize, and savor every bite.
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Bangladeshi flavors — and don’t skip their...
Read moreI worked at Thai Fusion for few days, and from the beginning, the manager was completely unprofessional. She “hired” me without even having a proper conversation — she didn’t explain anything about the job, the pay, or whether it was unpaid training. I had to keep asking her questions because she never clearly told me anything. After five days of working like a regular employee, she suddenly claimed it was unpaid training — something she never mentioned before. That’s called lying and using people.
From my experience, the manager is not a good person at all. Her husband, who works as the chef, acts like a very religious man — but if you’re truly religious, you don’t treat people like this. You don’t make someone work for free. What they’re doing is not just unethical, it’s illegal in Canada. There is no such thing as unpaid training unless it’s clearly stated and agreed to in writing.
They avoid paying their workers properly and always make excuses like, “Sales are low,” to avoid paying full wages. This is a scam, plain and simple. Businesses like this should not be allowed to operate. They exploit people and hide behind fake professionalism. Their restaurant deserves to...
