we were visiting someone in Scarborough and this place was close by. Going by the reviews we decided to walk in. There were a few large groups and was very busy. It's a mid sized restaurant well lit and a minimalistic decor. The menu is limited as well but has all the regulars of an Indian restaurant, and to add a couple of chats. We ordered for a chicken lollipop, a chicken biryani, Malai kofta and a naan and a masala tea. The chicken biryani was very forgettable. The Malai kofta gravy was delicious the koftas were dry and I would have liked if they were smaller and softer. The lollipop was the highlight, reminded of home. The tea was excellent. Nothing extraordinary but by the reviews seems like a favorite amongst residents of the area. If you visit Scarborough or live there and want to add an option to your list, there you go. The portion sizes are decent for one dish to be shared by two people, for the above we paid about $50 with taxes.

After a year of searching for authentic Indian food around, finally I can say my search has end. I can totally get why this place has such a good rating The taste of almost all the dishes was homely with nicely blends of spices. So I tried the veg platter, kadai paneer, veg biryani, onion kulcha , and soft drinks. All this costed around $56, decently priced for the portions served. They also have an extensive menu for non veg as well as veg. All of the dishes I tried were splendid with rich flavours and homely essence. I would surely come here again to try out more. The kadai paneer was typical dhaba style with not very thick restaurant consistency, and loved the biryani as well, that was the highlight for me. I would recommend everything I had, if you have a good resistance to spices then tell them to make it spicy. Bon Appetit!

First time coming here and this place deserves more than 5 stars! We were looking for a nice place to have dinner and we found this hidden gem in Scarborough First the service is excellent and very welcoming Second the atmosphere was very warm and pleasant And as for the food is was fabulously and wonderfully amazing!! We have have been to many Indian restaurants and I have to say that this place is one of the best ones we have been to!! We ordered the Veggie mix platter as our appetizers And for our mains we ordered the Mint Chicken, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Korma All three dishes we very delicious!! For dessert we ordered Gulab Jamun with some nice masala chai to end the night If you are looking for a wonderful place to dine and have delicious food, then this is the place and you won’t be disappointed

I don’t often (ever) write reviews for restaurants, but I felt compelled to for this one. I don’t go there often, as the prices are just a little above what I’d like to pay on a regular basis but I never regret it when I do.

The quality of food is honestly incredible. Never been disappointed by a menu item - butter chicken, tandoori chicken, veggie pikora, garlic naan and their lunch boxes are all particularly fantastic though. Honestly some of the best chicken I’ve ever had, bar none.

The presentation is fantastic too - and I’m not someone that would usually care at all about that (it’s all just getting eaten anyways). But even for me, it’s noticeable - the food looks beautiful and tastes even better. If this place were downtown, with a little more name recognition, I reckon they’d be booked full every night. As is, I consider myself lucky to have them in the plaza around the corner. I hope they stay there a long time so I can continue treating myself every so often.

Not really much I can think of to criticize here. I suppose the portion sizes on the lunch boxes could be slightly larger? Even then, it’s probably more than filling for most people, I just happen to eat a lot. And the prices are maybe slightly more than you’d expect from a restaurant tucked away in a Scarborough plaza - but they’re more than justified in charging what they do because of the quality. If that’s your hesitation, do yourself a favour and treat yourself. It’s honestly just astoundingly good, mouthwateringly delicious food. They’re more than justified in charging what they do. Try them out - you won’t regret it.

The owners/cooks should be incredibly proud of what they have - this restaurant has been a welcome addition to the neighbourhood from day 1. I’m glad they’ve made it thus far through the pandemic, as I know that’s been tough on the whole restaurant industry. I hope they stay for a very long time.

Thank you Lageez for the...

The male staff is so rude so pathetic i can't even explain. We were so hungry came to order and the menu price was wrong. He said its not updated and started arguing, he was literally the worst customer service we have ever come across. I will never go back to order. People like him ruining this industry . Don't know his name but he came from inside and has puffy hair. He was the worst wish i knew his name . So trash think 10 times to go here. Honest review……also this same person ask me to call as you guys can see. I called him and again in the same rude tone he is saying i didn’t do anything wrong you are mistaking and it was not my fault , the menu was wrong and he was trying to defend himself, i was shocked like anything, and he was not at all apologetic for being rude and being pathetic customer service … i told him my kid was hungry thats why i picked up the order at 9.30 pm otherwise no way i could have picked up the order that night could have canceled. Our community people can be so rude and misbehave so bad so bad cant believe, because people can pay the highest price for their food but if it comes with mis behaviour from the person who is taking order sorry no one can take that attitude.. iam done with this restaurant. Plz guys think 20 times before going to...

Neutral/Positive Points: No comments on Ambiance. I just went there for a take out order pick up. Seemed a decent place to spend some good time. Was not overly crowded and had a decent setup. The staff with whom I interacted was a good guy. Neither too pushy nor rude. He did his job as was supposed to be done.

These are the reasons for that 1 extra star.

Negative: This is a restaurant before anything else so the biggest factor that counts the most is food. Sadly that is the worst part of this place. My order was very simple. 1 chicken Biryani and 1 goat biryani. Thats it. The biryani was sadly nowhere close to what a biryani is called. You can call it a badly made pulao at the very best. They got the spice level right, I must say but other than that, there was nothing to call this biryani. It was only masala mixed with rice. The rice also was not good quality rice. Goat biryani had mostly bones in it and the meat was also not cooked to optimum level.

Although I have stayed in Toronto years back, this time while I was moving here permanently, one of my memories to catch up on was the food here. This place stands no where compared to the great food this city...
