I usually come here on Fridays as I come to this area for work. I usually pick up coffee here. Its located on Eglinton Ave and its a pretty cozy cafe run by a family. They are always warm and welcoming and super friendly. They offer a wide range of coffee drinks and bakery items as well as food and breakfast items on their menu. The cafe itself is really small but pretty cozy with cool vibes. There is a couple of tables and chairs for dine in. The decor is very cool and nostalgic to me. I like the ambience and the whole aroma here. The coffee is really fresh and high quality, I also like the fact that unlike all franchise cafes, here you can add your own creamer and they also have cinnamon powder. Overall, I like the place and their coffee and I always stop by if Im in the area.

Decided to try out another local coffee shop and glad we bump into this one. Came on a Saturday morning of the Labour Day weekend. The interior reminded me of the John Wick movie and the ambience was really relaxing with some good chilled out tunes. We had wonderful service. They walk us through their coffee’s since we told them we normally do Starbucks. They also don’t up charge for Soy or Almond Milk which was a plus! I had the there signature Americano and the wife had a latte with almond milk which tasted delicious. We will definitely be back.

Had an early morning meeting in the area. With a little time before start, I wanted to get a tea and a quick bite. I was not really familiar with the area, so a coworker suggested The Mad Bean, and professed about their Americano. I'm not a coffee guy so I knew I wouldn't be able to share that experience. However another coworker who joined me on my Tea run did end up granbing the Americano and he loved it. I ordered an Ear Grey and Blueberry Scone. Which was great. The Earl Grey was great even with only 1 bag, i usually get 2.

Best banana walnut muffin I've ever had in my life. Really good coffee and wonderful service. That's what I like with small businesses in the coffee and pastry industry, very cozy and they give full end to end service unlike franchised companies with a beautiful smile and a sincere thank you, can feel it. Franchised companies are cookie cutter types, massed produced with fancy logos and atmosphere not to mention super fancy product names with a meter long names just to make it fancy. By the time ordering, exhausted just to say what I would like 😜. I appreciate these small businesses a lot and knowing my money is going towards Canadian owned businesses in return to our economy. This is my appreciation as an immigrant to Canada as a thank you personally to Canada and...

Had a really disappointing experience at the Mad Bean this morning. Decided to try a local coffee shop as opposed to the corporate giants and settled on the Mad Bean after reading great reviews. I ordered several items all of which failed to satisfy. The coffee was weak, lukewarm and had a metallic taste to it, the mocha was sooo sweet that you couldn't even taste the espresso (or drink it - I tossed it after 2 sips), 2/3 muffins I ordered were completely uncooked in the centre and I exchanged them for a bagel which was dry, stale and tasteless. I will give them points for their decor and ambiance, and the guy working there was really quick, friendly and accommodating, but their product was complete garbage. I...
