I have ordered food from this restaurant many times and have always been happy, the food always delicious and always delivered on time. However last night something went wrong. My order was to be delivered between 5:45 and 6:15 and at 6:15 no delivery showed so I called and they couldn’t find my order and needless to say I freaked out as I had 15 people waiting for dinner. I called twice and they couldn’t find my order and kept me on hold waiting for the manager. I finally hung up at 6:30 ready to order pizza as they had not called me back. At 6:40 there was a knock at my door with a very apologetic delivery lady saying sorry for being late. When I cooled down I wrote a note to the restaurant telling them how disappointed I was and waited for a reply and within an hour or so received a very apologetic reply saying someone had dropped the ball and they would make things good. And would call me today at 5 which on the dot they did. They were so sorry and couldn’t do enough to make sure I was happy. I wasn’t looking for anything other than an apology which they provided and a credit for a dish for a future order. I want you all to know this is the first time in years and I am sure it won’t be repeated and I am happy to keep dealing with them. They knew they made a mistake stepped up and took ownership and made things right immediately. I want to thank everyone for your great service and seeing my side of the situation and how you handled the problem. Look forward to many more lunches and dinners with you and my...

The Blooming Orchid is new restaurant that has opened on Eglinton. There are many places on Eglinton between Allen Road and Yonge Street that serve sushi and Asian fusion flavors. However, the Blooming Orchid takes the cake when it comes to affordability and food quality.

Dining in is a wonderful experience. The music, the furniture, the walls, and the general atmosphere all tie in beautifully. The presentation of the food is absolutely wonderful and the attention to detail does not go unnoticed.

In general, the food is very good, service is speedy, and the all you can eat menu is very fairly priced and broad - given the location. When ordering take out from here, the food travels very well, and still tastes very fresh - a feat that is very hard to accomplish with Asian foods.

But by far, my favorite thing about this restaurant is the staff. King-un (not sure if that is spelled right!) is one of the happiest, most friendly people I have ever met. Seeing her and her joy while working here is really what separates this restaurant from all the others. I feel welcomed here and dining here is always a pleasure.

Notable menu items: the grilled squid, general tao chicken, the pad thai, all the sushi and sashimi, and the bento boxes.

The price here is VERY good, considering what you get (tons of food).

I am ecstatic that this restaurant is now in the neighborhood and I am happy to have found a place that is not only the right price, but has the right quality.

Highly...

Update: Been here for another couple of times and the place is one of my favorites! The food and ambience have been keeping to a good standard. The staff are all friendly to everyone and make me feel like coming home. I noticed there are lots of returning customers so I believe I am not the only one who get impressed about their service!

New restaurant opened in the area, the first visit and definitely will come back. First, the place is so clean. The atmosphere is cozy and the brightness just opens up your appetite. The ayce menu has so many options and I'm so glad it has dim sum as an option and it is so good. Sashimi is so fresh, very impressive. The two waitress are very very friendly and hospitable. I wish the restaurant will maintain the food quality and standard as time goes by. There are not so many options to choose in the neighbourhood and I am happy to...

It was our first time dining here, and we chose the AYCE option. The food selection was less than other AYCE restaurants, but everything was delicious. I especially like their hot and spicy soup, wonton soup, tempura, sushi and sashimi. Their Chinese dishes were also delicious. The price was very reasonable, and we got a discount that we paid in cash. The servers were also great. Everyone was amiable. If I had to be picky, I wish they had a dim sum option on the AYCE menu because their standard menu has a lot of dim sum options. Overall the experience was great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, which was a big plus! We will be back soon.

Excellent dim sum and Chinese wok fried items. Better than August 8 and Mandarin as someone mentioned too. However, August 8 and other sushi places does better sushi. The sushi here is rather bland and not well wrapped (a little loose). Still, am giving the restaurant a five-star as service was great from a single server managing the restaurant on a Thursday evening. And the Chinese food was really good.
