The best part of the meal was that our bellies were full. I can also fill my belly with Kraft Dinner at home. I took a friend there for her birthday. Staff was rushing around and not really taking the time to properly greet and take the orders. Everyone was in a big fat hurry. The place does not serve chicken. Really? I guess chicken is not Italian. My veal meatballs were salty and I had to spit out a couple of rubber pieces of fat. That was gross. The side dish of pasta had green vegetables which were not edible. I almost chocked on them so had to leave them aside. The tables were SOOO close together that the waitress' butt was right in my face while she was taking the next table's order. People walking in to be seated were brushing up against our food with their coats. Cramming as many seats as possible into a small space is tacky. Waiter tried to take my friend's plate away with food still on it. His way of rushing us out the door. We had to yell above the noise to ask him to stop. The place was so noisy that we were yelling to be heard. Could not carry a conversation. We felt as if we were sitting in a cafeteria in a food court. As well, parmesan cheese is typically served FRESHLY grated at your table, not in a bowl with spoon. Although there was a line up at the door, the place didn't have that many seats so that didn't impress us. The kitchen had too many cooks that it seemed unsanitary. We ended up at a coffee shop for dessert which was...

I have lived on Eglinton for nearly 10 years. I've walked past this place so many times and never gave it much thought. One night, I recalled that my roommate had mentioned this place and had raved about how much she loved it.

I decided to give 7 Numbers a shot, and I ordered takeout. We ordered the veal lasagna and lamb shank. We were blown away. Since that night, I have dined in the restaurant and have had take out at least once every 3 weeks.

7 Numbers has, by far, the absolute best Southern Italian Soul food that I have EVER had. The family meal ($39/per person) consists of 3 salads, 3 pastas, an entree and grilled veggies on the side. The portions are generous and I have never left feeling hungry or dissatisfied. It is rare in midtown Toronto to find decent, home cooked food, with soul at such an affordable price.

It warms our hearts to see Mama Rosa cook in the kitchen, adding to the authenticity of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The experience is always topped off with the front of house manager, Tom, ready to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. He remembers our names, checks in on us during our dining experience and from time to time will run out of the restaurant to say hi when we are walking down the street.

Never have I felt more welcomed at a place than I have at 7 Numbers. I highly recommend this place, and I highly recommend everything on the menu. There is not a single bad dish here. Give it a shot, you will not be...

The hosts at this restaurant literally make you feel like you were a family member invited to a dinner at their house! For a small restaurant, this place packs in big flavour and huge portions!

Now you know from all my other posts I love uploading photos but this time we were out with friends and wanted to be respectful instead of snapping photos.

I ordered the lamb shank, which was fall off the bone soft! Packed with flavour and enough to not leave any room for dessert!

The atmosphere can be hit or miss for some people as it is a much smaller restaurant with a lot of seating. You don’t really feel congested at all but they do get really busy and usually have a full house so it does get really loud to where you may not be able to have a quiet conversation. With that being said, if you want to enjoy, eat, laugh, and have an absolutely amazing dinner and amazing time with loved ones, this is the place to...

TLDR: 10/10 will be back and will be telling all my friends and family they must eat here!! Absolutely fantastic food- we had the specials last night and I completely gobbled it up. Everything from our appetisers (calamari / mushroom salad starter), the BREAD and spicy olive oil (I would buy the olive oil dip in a heartbeat!) to our mains was absolutely fantastic. I haven’t felt so much joy going out to eat in such a long time in Toronto. Everything was FRESH! Our server was absolutely fantastic, she was so sweet and so knowledgeable about the menu. Also she let us know about the cooking classes that we’ll def try out in the summer. The atmosphere was SO cozy , I forgot I was in midtown. Simple but with so much character! And the best way to end our night was to actually meet Rosa (owner) Who was so friendly and fabulous- you can tell that she puts so much love to in her restaurant, her food and her staff! We will be back ♥️

If you're looking for true, unpretentious Italian cooking, this is the place. This is a real Italian restaurant—it's not upscale, and certainly not frozen food. Everything tastes incredibly fresh. The plating might not be "Insta-worthy," but trust me, the flavor is absolutely worth it. You can tell you’re supporting a small business; the owners are right there in the restaurant, and the service (our server was very nice!) reflects that personal care. I also saw they offer pasta-making classes, which speaks volumes about their commitment to authentic craft. We had drinks and food for five people, and our bill came to about $400 after tax and tip. For the quality and the experience, it was definitely worth every dollar. If you want authentic food and want to support a fantastic small business, you must check them out. They are incredible.

This place has a nice ambiance and a good spot for a date night. With that said, I accidentally came an hour early for my dinner and they still sat me which was great. (Pro-tip: make a reservation beforehand). The server was very courteous in making me feel ok while I was waiting for my friends to arrive. I will say that he was a bit overwhelmed and perhaps it was because we came on the day the new mandatory vaccination check came into place, but he forgot to check our vaccination status (which we were all fully vaxxed so it wasn’t an issue). Otherwise he was great. The menu wasn’t super extensive, which was a bit disappointing and the amount you get for the price you pay was also a bit disappointing. It was still decent, but not amazing.
