2024 update: we came here for for dinner. Ordered salad pizza and pasta and meat sauce. We again were rushed. We arrived at 655 and had paid the bill by 722. The waitress came by literally every 3 or 4 minutes asking if we were ok. I love servers that check in but this was excessive. Probably ten times in half an hour. Pizza was under done and greasy. I'm not sure if it's new management or a new chef or what but this place is not what it used to be. Let me enjoy my food and experience! A few times come by but that is too much. They were already setting the table and I hadn't even put my jacket on. If it was before closing sure I understand, but this wasn't the case.
I hate leaving a bad review for this place because my wife and I love it so much. We are here all the time and the food is ample and delicious with amazing owners and managers. Unfortunately our visit this evening was not great due to our waitress. While she was friendly, she rushed everything like the place was on fire. We sat down, and she gave us menus and dirty cutlery. Fair it was replaced.
Maybe two minutes later she asked if we were ready to order. We said yes, salad and ravioli and a calzone. Then nothing. Drinks came with the salad and then all the food came at once for everyone in the joint. She was in such a rush the plate was basically dropped on the table. Never saw her after. The food was ok. Ravi was so hot it had to be microwaved. Calzone had no flavour and was sort of warm.
I want this place to get back to it's prime! Also the bread was two pieces of small bits. Hardly enough to use oil. We will try one more time. Also a small salad, 2.cokes and a calzone...
Read moreListen, if you’re looking for a great Italian meal with amazing service in the city that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, then Ferraro is just that. If you’re in a rush, it’s ideal. They are so fast and you could literally be in and out in 20 mins! Food is top notch. Pizzas are cooked to perfection, pastas are always a solid choice, their calzone is low key unreal, and pretty much anything else you could think of is tasty. The gnocchi is usually my go to and has been for like 10 years. Great ambience also, which makes for a lovely dining experience. The staff are like family now and we all know each other and the other regular customers that come in. I wish I had pictures to show but usually the food is gone before I can even pull out my phone. Parking can be a little tricky but the surrounding streets are always a safe bet. Ferraro is always a place we can go to on a weeknight and know we’re going to have a great meal. Don’t change! Actually, the only thing I’d like is for them to be open on Sundays! But other than that, it’s an incredible Italian family run restaurant in the heart...
Read moreI see that the reviews are amazing, so I wonder if we are the only ppl who got 'lucky". To start with the tables were dirty, sticky and I honestly was thinking of leaving the place but decided to give it a try. Then they brought us the appetizer... The worst eggplant parmigiana we tried so far. I think they used expired ingredients. The pizza we ordered was horrible, I had one bite ( the same as my friend) and I sent it back( i am not a big fan of grey sausages and bitter cheese)They didn't even apologize and didn't even ask us why we refused to eat their food! They gave is that look as if we are some villagers or smth. I already told my friends and my family( we all live in that area) to never comeback. Such a pity.. I was told it used to be one of the best pizza spots...
