No host to greet at the door which is fine so we went to the bartender to say hi. He asked what we wanted in a rather gruff manor. We asked if we could sit on the patio he said "ya what do ya want" in another rather less than hospitable tone. We asked if we had a server and how it works. A third time the bartender responds with "ya what do ya want". We left. This older gentleman bartender with short white hair and beard needs to remember that hospitality means to be hospitable to people that want to spend money on your property!!!...
Read moreThis is my favourite local hangout by far. I'm not ambitious when it comes to beer, and a bottle of Molson Stock Ale does me fine. I've tried the food now and then and am quite partial to the Caesar Salad and the yummy garlic bread. The music selection is outstanding and very unique, usually, although on the last couple of visits it's gotten a bit bland. The fish are relaxing. I get a lot of writing done here and I'm not the only one. Judging by the conversation a lot of creative types, esp film and TV, hang out here. All in all...
Read moreI reserved the 2nd floor (the mezzanine) for a staff function. The guests were blown away with this beautiful, open space!! The management was very accommodating and would check on us frequently. The service, drinks and food were exceptional. The fun atmosphere, music and great menu really set the tone for a fabulous time! We are looking forward to returning for another...
