It will be interesting to follow how they resolve this. For me, Nepali food can be enjoyed by selecting the ideal spot and traveling for hours. During our visit to Lali Gurans Restaurant, a server told us about something new that was coming up for Nepalis, which led us to choose Mantra. Everything was fine in our first visit on second day of opening. The staff and owner were held in high esteem.
When we visited twice last week, we traveled as a family of three from Scarborough, which took more than forty minutes during rush hour. We arrived, had food, sat at a table, and enjoyed live music. Food and service both were very nice.
We were enjoying our late dinner. I noticed something is wrong with the atmosphere for a while but i tried to ignore and i failed. Later i speak up and please it would be appreciated if you could show respect as we have observed some NEPALI individuals. Because it wasn't a bar, the profanity used was too much for me to tolerate. For Owners and management if you care about customers, it's crucial to think about every single person who walks through your door. I made a warning, but the group of guys believed I was wrong. I apologized and my wife instructed me to stop. Despite visiting many restaurants, including Indian ones, I have never heard any negative words from any of them. I'm confused as to why certain Nepali men feel proud of themselves for their behavior.
I wanted to verify what the management is doing about this situation. Just wanted to remind you that you will have a Nepali family as guests. MANTRA doesn't say it's a bar, club, or pub where we can ignore and let it go. It's a restaurant where we come with family.
We canât stop them but we need to control them Hope we donât have any misunderstanding willingly to hear back from you. See you in next visit Please guys donât forget a word Behave Hope you never forget where you came...

The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a clean and well-organized setup that creates a pleasant dining environment. What truly sets this place apart is the live band performing Hindi songs, which added a unique and enjoyable element to our evening. The audience was primarily Nepalese, and it was great to see the band engage with the crowd by performing songs in the local language as well. Their performance was impressive and added significantly to the experience. The service started off exceptionally well. Our server took the time to explain the menu thoroughly and even offered a sample of the Jhol Momo gravy before we placed our order. However, after the food was served, there was a noticeable drop in attentiveness. No follow-up checks were made, and we had to wait quite a while to request the bill, which slightly dampened the overall experience. As for the food, the Jhol Momo stood out as the highlight. The dumplings were perfectly steamed, and the gravy was rich and flavorful â truly a standout dish. The Mutton Taas was an interesting option, served with puffed rice that complemented the flavors well, though the mutton itself was a bit too chewy in parts. The chicken noodles had good flavor but were served lukewarm, which affected the overall taste. Additionally, there were a few unexpected ingredients that did not quite match our expectations. Overall, the live music elevated the dining experience, making it a great spot to relax with friends. While there were a few service and food-related inconsistencies, the overall atmosphere and hospitality made it a memorable visit. With a few improvements, this place has the potential to be...

From the perfectly spiced curries to the traditional appetizers, everything tasted fresh and made with love. Itâs rare to find a place where the cuisine not only satisfies your palate but also evokes memoriesâand Mantra did just that.
The live music added a special charm to the evening, enhancing the overall vibe without overpowering conversation. It was the perfect backdrop to an already unforgettable meal.
