Should not advertise as family friendly without having a functioning high chair. But overall good size and no carpet which makes me feel better as a parent of small kids- carpets are usually gross and I leave feeling guilty for all the food/residue clean-up...

The place could use a good deep clean as the floor, chairs and tables are peeling and covered in food/grease..... don’t mind the old design as it adds to the charm but the dirt is off putting.. and it’s evrerywhere!

Food was fine, but nothing exceptional for the price- I’ve been to many a greasy spoon and this is the worse. I usually tend to come back for a signature side such as an amazing hash or sausage- all seems store bought and frozen... pancakes taste like uncooked batter and are chewy.. “fresh” fruit was made days in advance no doubt..

Service. I could forgive all the above if this was average- and it was far below. Did not get one smile from the waitress. Not a single flirt towards our infant child. Poured a hot cup of coffee in arms reach to our toddler and served hot mains right beside- this is basic liability training in any restaurant . Brought bill without asking for additional food/coffee top up and waited 10 minutes with my credit card out to pay with minimal guests. Ended up walking to the from register to pay even though they had the portable machine.

I really struggle writing a review like this as I am all about support our small business community. If you are the owner reading this, spend a few weeks cleaning and buy a can of paint- freshen it up for a minimal buck. Better train the staff (simly smiling is free and no additional work). Come up with one amazing, homemade signature side as eggs are eggs.. amazon has nice high chairs for min spend.

Hope you consider. I will come back in the summer with family and hopefully see improvements...

First of all, it’s a family owned cozy with patio restaurant including breakfast. I came for breakfast. The food here was just to perfection. I ordered the steak and Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and smooth, very refreshing and not oily at all. The steak was done to my want of rareness and tender. The eggs were alittle over done in terms of a Benedict but here’s the thing, their service was above and beyond. I did not complain at all nor mention about it but our waiter (tall handsome refreshing looking guy) was attentive and caring and came by offering to remake an entire additional order of fresh poached eggs for me without hesitation! He said he noticed the eggs were not smothering like it should be when I cutted them. The remake order which came was fresh and done to perfection. It’s the heart that counts. Even the lady (who looks like one of the owners) beside the bar counter smiled to us and mentioned very kindly to us to always let them know if anything was off. Every dish that came out of the kitchen seemed insanely appetizing, hot, and fresh. This great service from both sides of their restaurant was just heart warming to start off my day. They stand by their quality and service and I would definitely come back for more good food and their friendly service. This is a rare find and all this was on a busy Saturday...

Will never go back. Appalled.

My girlfriend and I stopped by for dinner. There were so many fruit flies we spent majority of our time swatting them away.

I ordered quesadillas and they were soggy and dripping in grease. Informed the server of this when she came around and she then proceeded to ask me if I wanted them to go (lol) and did not offer to exchange for something else or refund. Service was poor. Then ordered a Corona and had to ask for a lime.

Then as my girlfriend was finishing her salad and wine, the lights were turned off and the manager told her to hurry up because they were locking the doors. We were not informed they were closing prior to considering it was 8pm and their website says they close at 10pm. On top of that had to ask for our bill after being told to leave without warning and my girlfriend didn’t finish her wine after finding a fruit fly in it. After hearing us ask for our bill, the manager then replied “fantastic”.

After this poor service I didn’t leave a tip, at which point the server proceeded to throw the debit machine in anger and let out an aggravated sigh.

I used to go there as a child and it was fantastic. Sad to see what this place has...

I came here once before it was renovated/changed and was very unimpressed. It's come a long way since then! Brunch on the patio was great. It's a very inviting space that actually reminded me of holidays in the subtropics. (Thanks in part to the patio being covered in beautiful tropical plants and the summer day being hot and humid.) The food was decent. Nothing spectacular but to find a decent breakfast in this area that isn't a chain like Eggsmart, and without a line up on weekend brunch, it's a gift. I asked for medium eggs and got them pretty hard (and the vinegar from the poaching was really strong) but otherwise an okay meal. The cappuccino was very good too. Our server was lovely and friendly and food came quickly. Patio is spaced nicely so it's not too crowded that you feel too close to others, but not so far apart that it feels empty. Prices are reasonable and honestly, I would come back here for a weekend breakfast again.

I had the gyro on a pita which I enjoyed while my other half ordered breakfast. The specialty coffee tastes the same as the drip coffee sadly, so I would avoid paying for any espresso based drinks. The breakfast meal came with bread, peanut butter, and jam which is where everything went wrong. It seems they reseal and reuse opened jam packets with black tape. I don't think we'll return, even though the gyro was good. An hour after I posted my review the owner has responded and I am updating the photos to add their response in case they choose to delete it later. I'm uncertain if they meant to be so condescending/vaguely threatening with the use of 'dear' and suggesting that I be careful when posting reviews but I'll let other patrons decide for themselves. I previously had rated the restaurant 3/5 in all categories but have now reduced the service to a 1.

Called to confirm if they were open as it is Good Friday. The gentleman who took my call was polite. When we arrived, they told us to sit wherever we wanted. (Cool!) Coffee and water was served quickly as we were deciding what to order from the extensive menu. We ordered 3 eggs with sausage, homefries, garnished with a thick slice of tomato on spinach, and toast. Plus liver & onions with bacon, potatoes, rice, fresh vegetables and garlic bread. The blueberry pancakes were big and fluffy. John is excellent at his job. He refilled our bottomless coffee cups & water glasses, and asked us if we needed anything. There was a big bowl of creamers & assorted condiments on each table. They bring around hot sauce if you want. The restaurant is very clean. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!
