I frequent this location on weekdays and have found the service acceptable. As part of my breakfast order, I regularly ask for a L (or XL) tea with just 1 tea-bag. By default, the L/XL come with 2 tea bags, but the M comes with 1. Therefore, I get charged for a M and they just put it into an XL cup and fill it up with hot water.
However, I stopped in this past Sunday (July 21st) and had the following unpleasant experience. I was told I have to pay the XL price, even if I wanted just 1 tea bag because the extra hot water costs money. I expressed my disappointment, and the server reluctantly put my drink in an XL cup. When they handed it to me, I realized they still only gave me the amount of water that would go into a M cup, but poured it into an XL cup - and left half the cup empty. I was genuinely speechless.
Tim Hortons margin on a M tea is over 87% (price $1.99; cost of tea bag less than $0.25). Yet they they can't pour a little extra hot water in my cup. My business at this location amounts to about $50-$60 a week. That's not an amount that's going to break the bank, but that is what 8oz of hot water is costing them - because I will not be visiting this location again. All the power to them - they must be doing very well to not care about...
Read moreI have had a few bad experiences at this location. First of all on many occasions the staff dont listen when I am ordering, always have to go back because they left out the milk and sugar or they add sugar when you ask them not too. Tables are never clean and it is gross. I dont want to sit at a table like that. My boy friend and I have witnessed on several occasions, homeless people loitering, spending a lot of time in the washrooms, washing and changing their clothes in the bathroom. So many times cant use the bathroom as in there so long. Today I was there and was a homeless woman sitting at the table and she was very sick, very bad cough, in fact so bad that my boyfriend and I had to leave as he has cancer and cant get ill. A lady I spoke to in there told us the woman had gone to the washroom in her pants. I have nothing against homeless people and I feel very sad for them. But this is a place people eat at. Needs to be sanitary. We are going to look for another tim hortons, hopefully a nicer cleaner atmosphere. I came back to this location today, floors are so dirty, looks like never been washed. Matts are disgusting. Garbage cans inside are filthy too. Hire a cleaner, staff have no time. Place has a bad...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this Tim Hortons location on Tuesday, May 27th around 5 PM. The staff came across as quite unprofessional—our order wasn’t prepared properly, and it seemed like they didn’t take the time to mix the drinks correctly. We had ordered a double-double, but the sugar was completely missing. When we politely asked for sugar to fix the issue, one of the female employees reacted rudely. Instead of simply handing it over or acknowledging the mistake, she threw the sugar packet towards us with a noticeably disrespectful attitude and a strange look, as if we were being difficult for pointing out a clear error. Customer service should be about courtesy and attention to detail, and unfortunately, this experience lacked both. I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses the staff’s attitude and training simple professionalism can...
