I guess there’s a first time for everything—this is my first time leaving a negative review on Google.

There’s no denying the food at Panettorino is tasty, but it's also quite expensive. Two coffees and two pastries (plus tip) came to around $28. While some might say “you get what you pay for,” there are other cafĂ©s along Lakeshore offering similar or better quality at more reasonable price --- and with more soul.

The real reason for my negative review, however, is the lack of access to basic bathroom facilities. Panettorino has a small indoor seating area and a fairly spacious front patio, so I was surprised to learn that there were no public washrooms available—especially given that they serve prepared food. My partner simply wanted to wash her hands before eating. When she asked to use the restroom, the server informed her that they didn’t offer public bathrooms and suggested she go next door to a hamburger restaurant instead. Assuming there was some kind of partnership or understanding between the two businesses, she followed the suggestion. But upon entering the restaurant and explaining that she was a customer of Panettorino, she was turned away and told the facilities were for paying customers only. Needless to say, it was an awkward and uncomfortable experience. That moment soured what we had hoped would have been a pleasant...

A Pastry Paradise!

I recently discovered this hidden gem, and I must say, it's a pastry bliss like no other! This isn't your ordinary bakery; it's a specialty high-end haven crafted by a true master. The owner's expertise transforms every pastry into a magical delight, making every bite an enchanting experience.

What sets this place apart is the incredible freshness of their treats. Every morning, the dedicated team bakes up a storm, ensuring that customers are greeted with the aroma of freshly baked goodness. The attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients are evident in every pastry they offer.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates the artistry and craftsmanship of pastries. It's not just a bakery; it's a culinary journey through the world of exquisite flavors and textures.

Don't miss the chance to indulge in the creations of a true...

I was there to pick up a package that I pre-reserved by ‘too good to go’ app. I usually use that service to find out new eateries and to test out the taste and quality. When I got there I was told there was nothing left. When I told him I came from bit of a way and I should be getting something, the guy who I assume is an owner quite abruptly put a loaf of bread (which was terrible) and a dry piece of pizza square then basically hushed me out of the store after making sure I clicked the ‘ picked up’ button in the app. I felt I was being treated like a pathetic beggar looking for left over. I threw away both loaf and pizza piece which were simply terrible. As I said, I wanted to find a nice bakery where I could go back again and again to buy nice stuff for my grandkids but I was left with such bad taste in my mouth both literally and...

Some of the best croissants, pastries and pizza I have ever had in my life. If you are a lover of baked goods and have not visited Panettorino yet, you are seriously doing yourself a disservice. Chef Marco’s passion for food and attention to detail shine through all of his delightful creations. He is constantly experimenting with new flavours, products and techniques - every time I visit there is something new on the menu for me to try. Some of my favourites so far are the croissants (you can’t go wrong with any flavour: butter, hazelnut, pistachio, raspberry) and also the panettorino pizza. It’s worth making a detour to visit, I highly recommend you give this place a try!

I went to Panettorino for my first time a couple of weeks ago for a meeting. I was very fortunate that I was early since that allowed me to indulge in their delicious pastries (bombolone was the ultimate selection after a vigorous internal debate). I then purchased some treats to go and the staff "hand makes" them with the filling of my choice! They boxed it up with a smile on their face and offered to store it all until my meeting was complete. The whole place was inviting, friendly and supplied with delicious food selections and great coffee. Keep up the good work, I will see you very soon!

This Italian bakery seems popular in the area because they sold out some items pretty early. They made fresh pastries and breads along the day. We tried vanilla and pitaschio croissants, which were flaky and mildly crunchy. The filling is creamy and sweet. Tea and coffee are pretty standard. The seating is a little bit awkward so mostly for takeout; but the food display and store are neat and clean. Update: got to try the pizza slice, biscoff cookie, and sourdough bread which are flavourful as expected and the texture holds even after some time. Must be delicious eating them fresh.
