Some of the Tim's stores have very chatty people.i wish I tried to learn some languages but I know I would have to go to university where they have pt courses for evening people. I probably miss the days when I finish work then go to school to learn business courses. Then a trip to timmies would be ideal. I used to do that a lot at Sheridan in Oakville. Sometimes the on-campus store was open and a class time coffee was allowed. There was also a store up the road for a 15 minute sitdown. Also a quiet, polite crowd atmosphere. Then a short ride up to upper middle before heading back to Mississauga where I used to live for many years. As I said, pt courses were ideal, but I really should research corresp courses. But I am researching corresp for prof tax preparation. Of course, it is all about money too and space for textbooks. I also really miss the feel textbooks have. Some people are bringing textbooks when they do an open book online exam. I haven't asked too many people what they are studying but this brings to mind the Brampton library. I did a lot of private study and gameplay(when allowed ! Hint think c word). One guy had a very thick book on electric theory and he went through page by page answering some quizzes. He also had coffee which staff tried to remind was disallowed but he would point at the book. Covid would hit soon and even when they were open for periods at a time, you were still allowed to use what electronic devices you had. The libraries are on short hrs now, but I will get back one day to research movie dvds to borrow. The branch is a long way from downtown, so you either need a pass or have to work fast on a 2 hr transfer. Of course, it is tough to look serious even if you are watching a movie. I do not have a portable dvd player but that would be handy for home viewing, or on the side if I am doing something...
Read moreThis is the worst Tim Hortons in Toronto Canada. The manager named Delusha lies to her new employees by making them sign a form saying they are paying a DEPOSIT of $100 & will be refunded when they uniform is returned . When you return the uniform , they keep the “deposit” of $100. Today a manager (don’t know her name) looked me in my face and said they LIED about it being a deposit and that they won’t accept back the uniform I brought in. I asked to see the form that delusha FORCED me to sign & I was refused . They kept my paycheque hostage for over a month & ignored ALL of my calls and messages. When I went in to the store today, I was disgusted by the way the manager handled the wrong-doings of THEIR company . This is why NOBODY ever stays at their location, they treat the employees like they are dirt. I will never in my life work for such a disgraceful company again. The manager Delusha also has FORCED staff and employees to keep customers receipts to fill out surveys to boost their “status” which is shameful because they have made me fill out surveys and told me to lie on them and say that the service is 10/10. Also I NEVER recieved a uniform PANTS from them, only TWO shirts which I have returned professionally had it dry cleaned . They owe me...
