Don't let the generic name fool you, this restaurant offers outstanding items that are exceptionally good.

The mixed tempora was lightly battered and expertly fried in fresh oil. They were delicate in texture and their flavours were not hidden behind heavy oil and soggy batter like other inferior tempora dishes.

The gyoza was beautifully deep fried and onion-laced dipping sauce really enhanced the flavour.

The sashimi was fresh and well prepared at just the right size. The hand rolls were well packed and expertly shaped. The specialty makis were unique and memorable. These rolls offered a layered combination of textures and flavours.

This mom and pop restaurant is most definitely a neighbourhood gem, judging by the amount of takeout and dine-in business. It is just the place when you have a hankering for some thoughtfully prepared sushi that tastes way...

My friends and I have been long time visitors of Tokyo sushi, recently, however, I’m not sure if their management has changed or something, but they have been consistently messing up my orders on different occasions, whether that means forgetting cream cheese in my Philadelphia roll or forgetting teriyaki sauce on my teriyaki sushi. I’d be fine glazing over this but my experience was awful, with The waitress, assuming that my friends and I didn’t know how to use chopsticks to being dry and rude our entire visit, then, when it came time to pay, I did not tip because of the poor service and in response, I was scolded and she said that she would include the tip next time. I understand that many workers make their rates off of tipping however, if you’re gonna receive a tip, you might as well be a little bit nice to your customers....

March 2024 Update:

Decided to get one of the sets this time and it was average – nothing to write home about. I wasn't a huge fan of the garden salad as well, surprisingly. Substitution of rolls is only allowed for similar cost rolls (even if you're willing to pay the full price differential of $2 or $3).

Original Review, December 2023:

Dined in and ordered the calamari and black dragon roll, which were both good!

There was only one staff member managing both the dine in tables and take out, so service could have been better. The food came out quite quickly though (there was only one other dine in table but a few takeout orders)

Overall, everything was good and I'd definitely come back again!

Note that there is no cash discount for dine in (cash discount on take out only), and the restroom was out of...

The service was great! They greeted us with a smile and then place is warm, clean and inviting. The food was good. We ordered Maki dinner A which was 3 types of rolls with 24 rolls in total. They were Spicy crunch salmon roll (10pcs), California roll (6pcs), and salmon & avocado roll (6pcs) and served with salad and miso soup. I hope there were pictures in the menu. It was hard for us to visuals what’s in the packages and took us a little bit more time to decide what to order. We ask for photos but the server only showed us look a like photos in the internet. The wasabi we had was on the lighter side. I didn’t feel the smack i usually expect. The amount of food for the price i think is reasonable. We definitely like the simple presentation in an open plate or wood plank. Will come here again or order a party package.
