This is from an Uber order so I cannot speak on the atmosphere or service coming from the restaurant, only the quality of food I received. I ordered the grilled lemongrass chicken and rice. Only thing good about it was the pickled side of carrots and cabbage and the green onion on top. As for the chicken itself, it was the strangest looking chicken I’ve ever seen. Flattened as per usual but a HUGE flabby piece of fat/skin under it which should’ve been removed. No love, no flavour put into it and rice was DRY. Next was the cold shrimp rolls. I ordered the 4 rolls which usually only comes with one dip and they did not specify which one comes with it. I wanted peanut sauce so ordered one on the side in case it came with the other options. Turns out you get two big peanut sauces in case you’re wondering (they mention in the comments about the sauce being extra like you don’t get enough) so that clears that up if you actually decide to still give them a chance. I was really looking forward to the mint it says it comes with as these rolls are pretty bland so the mint for me at least is what brings it to life (along with a good peanut sauce) but NO MINT and the peanut sauce was BLAND. There is absolutely no love put into this food. Next was kind of my fault because I did look it up and it did say their mango smoothies are made WITH real mangos (word play) which is always a risk especially at these type of restaurants that love their ARTIFICIAL POWDER but at the same time I did not taste ANY real mango. Tasted completely FAKE. All it all I would avoid this place. They do not deserve my money falsely advertising and putting NO LOVE into their food. Absolutely worst Vietnamese I have ever had ! I did not Know you could mess up such simple dishes until I ordered from this place. Take my advice and AVOID. So many other option for Pho/vietnamese. Thank you Uber for refunding me at least or else I would’ve been royally pissed. One thing as a foodie that makes me mad is people that get into the restaurant business with no passion , no love for the food… that is the most important ingredient and if you are not loving what you are doing your customers WILL see that and most importantly TASTE IT and never return. So what is the point ? Open another business or hire other people that actually enjoy what they’re doing because what is going on here !? Ask...

Toronto Pho on Dufferin Street has quickly become my go-to spot for delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. If you're a pho lover like me, you're in for a treat! From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a fantastic dining experience.
The first thing that struck me was the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and promptly seated me. The menu at Toronto Pho is extensive, offering a wide range of traditional Vietnamese dishes, but their pho is the star of the show.
I ordered their classic beef pho, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. It had a wonderful depth of flavor that clearly showcased the time and effort put into its preparation. The rice noodles were cooked to perfection, and the thinly sliced beef was tender and succulent. The bowl was generously filled with fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime wedges, and jalapeños, allowing me to customize the dish to my liking.
The portion sizes at Toronto Pho are generous, ensuring that you leave fully satisfied. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of food served. Whether you're craving a comforting bowl of pho or looking to explore other Vietnamese specialties, this place has got you covered.
The service at Toronto Pho is exceptional. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are more than willing to answer any questions and provide recommendations based on your preferences. The food is served promptly, ensuring that you don't have to wait long to indulge in your cravings.
One thing worth noting is the cleanliness and hygiene maintained at Toronto Pho. The restaurant is immaculately clean, and the kitchen is visible from the dining area, giving you a glimpse of the care and attention given to food preparation. This aspect adds to the overall positive dining experience.
Whether you're a pho enthusiast or simply looking to explore Vietnamese cuisine, I highly recommend Toronto Pho on Dufferin Street. The flavorful pho, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere make it a standout in the city. I guarantee you'll leave with a smile on your face and a...

A deep-fried spring roll ($5.75 for two) goes with pho like cookies with milk. Sadly, Toronto Pho’s roll incorporates way too much taro, turning the filling into a crumbly bland mush. It didn’t help that the salt was non-existent, so all the flavours came from the sweet thin dipping sauce. Seriously, the frozen ones from the supermarket are better.
I’d go with the grilled rolls instead, our chicken version ($6.95 for two) was absolutely delicious, a bundle of vermicelli with bean sprouts and mint leaves, wrapped in lettuce, and then layered with grilled chicken and wrapped in a chewy rice sheet. The double roll helped keep the noodles soft while adding an extra crunch after getting through the soft rice wrapper. Meanwhile, the marinated grilled chicken had enough flavour but was further augmented by the savoury peanut sauce on the side.
The starters helped keep me satisfied while I heated up the broth in a pot and zapped the noodles in the microwave. Taking the five minutes to do this really helps enhance the experience. After all, I’m craving a steaming hot bowl of noodles… not lukewarm broth with clumped pho.
Toronto Pho’s broth packs a strong punch of spices (star anise and cinnamon?) and is seasoned well without becoming overwhelming. While Pho is never overly heavy, Toronto Pho’s soup feels extra “clear”, almost like a consommé than bone broth. It’s delicious, just not necessarily hearty.
The noodles remained chewy having been separated from the soup and there were plenty of toppings included with the bowl – the typical bean sprouts, Thai basil, and lime, but also a long leafy lettuce type vegetable and onions as well. Yum! I love the mix of herbs with pho.
They also didn’t skimp on the beef, there was plenty of it and soft tendon ($12.50) in my bowl. My only complaint was there was a thick end slice of the meat left with everything. Have you ever tried chewing through a cheap cut of lean beef that’s been sitting in transit for a while? Thank god I have the jaws of life.
I do have to give credit to Toronto Pho for using paper containers for their noodles and broth (sadly not the rolls, which is strange as there are plenty of small paper box options) and helping the...
