I don't usually write reviews but this place is great, and I thought I'd give my opinion to those looking to come here.

Where do I even start when it comes to their food? First off their phos are wonderful. My dad ordered their "pho beef special" and I must say that the broth is so full of flavour. The amount you get in just a regular is more than enough, we had to pack the rest to go! Looking at their menu, it's evident that they have a good variety of Vietnamese and Thai food. For me, I tried their "Pad see ew" with chicken and I absolutely loved it. It does comes with egg and broccoli which I'm not a fan of, and when I told them they gladly customized it.

The people running it are super nice and their service was great. Right when we sat down, we were offered tea or water and help with their menu. While we were eating, they would come and ask how everything was and if we needed anything. The table next to ours had received the wrong dish and the employees switched it for the correct one right away, they resolved the problem very quickly. While I was eating there, I could really sense that they were about customer service and not money hungry. They were truthful when I asked questions and didn't pressure me into getting more dishes. Before my dad and I left, we had the chance to talk to one of the workers and found out that the owners are actually Vietnamese and Thai, it really doesn't get more authentic than that!

Overall, my dad and I had a great experience trying out this restaurant, however, we did notice that there were only a few people there while we were there. It could be because they're newer (I think the lady said they've been open 2 months), but I really think more people should know about this place. I will definitely be back to try more...

I’m not sure who’s been writing these five star reviews but maybe I went on a bad day.

Food: This sounds like an exaggeration but the food was truly inedible. The chicken pieces in my pho ga was hard as rocks. My mom’s beef brisket pieces were also tough like concrete. 100% the broth came from powder. The pad Thai was good though!

Service: We were repulsed by the server’s attitude during the entire meal. S/he literally gave us an aggressive glance because we asked for new glasses. They also did not cook the bean sprouts despite us asking them to. The server’s attitude was curt and borderline rude, which may be fine usually, but if you’re charging a mandatory 13% tip, I’d expect a server who doesn’t look like they hate their life.

Atmosphere: There were flies buzzing around but I don’t think that can be controlled.

The only part of our dining experience that wasn’t pure torture was the owner coming out and having a nice conversation with us. She seemed super friendly and genuinely interested in where we were going and coming from. To the owner if you read this: Your daughter DOES NOT want to be a server there! She hates it! And it’s being projected off through her lack of customer service!! My suggestion for your mandatory tipping policy is to incorporate it into your menu prices and then just advertise as a “no tipping” restaurant so we don’t get traumatized by the hostility in the air the moment we enter the...

This new establishment is a patent scam: It is NOT "Thai" by any stretch of the imagination, but uses the "Thai" indicator in its shingles to woo unwitting customers -- customers who would otherwise NEVER venture to this hole-in-the-wall fraudulent "kitchen."

Check your receipt to see how they will add on (and bill you for) items that you never ordered! This, after their scamming on the Green and Red curries that they use from commercial cans -- used cans that you will see in their equally odious bathroom! Indeed, they use a $2 Thai curry can and charge you $12! And if you want to "add beef" or "shrimp" they will charge you $4 extra and throw in literally just one medium-size shrimp!

The positive comments attached to these Reviews are obviously concocted in-house...

Diners beware! Like their former named that closed down after abysmal business, these name-changed crooks will also soon disappear after enough customers will...

Very very good Vietnamese and Thai food. I usually stay away from combo places (like pick one and stick with it) but made an exception for this place and glad I did. I'm not sure if the purveyors of this place are Vietnamese or Thai but it really doesn't matter as both cuisine options on their menu are top-notched. Friendly service. Good Bun Rieu is hard to find in Toronto and they have a good one. The Khao Soi is also OG so for a mixed cuisine place offering excellent quality food in each is rare. The Bun Bo Hue is also quite good, no pork blood cubes though (but some people might think that's a good thing), right amount of oiliness and spice in their Bo Hue. Don't judge the plaza they are in or the area, Vic Park and Eg is fast becoming a foodie paradise.

*edit* I am so disappointed that the quality of food i first enjoyed at Viet Thai Kitchen is no longer the same. I have now received two orders via Uber eats that ignored my food allergy of scallions/green onions. It's so easy to leave them off, why can't you follow this simple request? Also, the meat in the lemongrass pork was so fatty and had none of the delicious char on it. Also when I look back on the picture i posted last year, the vegetables looked so fresh, not the case for my order today. So sad.* I am so glad I found this place! This was the most delicious lemongrass Bún vermicelli bowl I've ever had. They were able to accommodate a food intolerance as well. Thank you guys, your food is really wonderful!!
