OH WOW! Yorkdale has an organic, cold pressed, and unpasturized juicery! I think Yorkdale really upped their game when Village Juicery opened up. No more sugary drinks or syrup fruit drinks!
I discovered Village Juicery in one of their boutiques on Ossington and I learned more how they are quite different from other bottled juices. Aside from organic, they're made fresh daily and its never having additives. Everything comes from a fruit or vegetable and not some preserved bottle of concentrated juice.
This little store is more of a kiosk but a very well laid out one with everything nicely displayed. It has the light woods and white walls that give you more of a zen relaxed feel to the space. It's very similar to the boutiques except there's no seating near it at the moment but perhaps that will change. They do offer a nice little offering of what you'd see in their bigger boutiques. You will find their chai puddings, salads, juices, bites, and fresh kombucha bar. I like how its not a smaller offering but just less inventory of what they.
I also appreciate how they had 2 people in the little store. Even if there was another person in line, you feel like you're not another person. Conversations about what they offered and explained new items was a nice touch. Most places just had the 1 and they're running frantic. Not here.
I do have to admit the price point is higher than the Booster Juice but honestly, the flavour difference is huge. You're actually tasting real ingredients and not some manufactured 'fruit'. You definitely dont get a sugar crash. That being said... $7 for my chai latte is a bit pricey but I love the flavour. I think of it as a treat.
Power ball made with bananas, dates, and other stuff - A bite sized snack that gives you a perk of natural sugars and energy. The official ingredient list is Hazelnuts, Oats, Dates, Coconut, Chia Seeds, Hemp Seeds, Banana, Maple Syrup, and Cashews. When I ate it, I definitely tasted the banana and dates... so think of it as a banana bread made with brown sugar and maple syrup flavour. I didn't feel too much texture from the oats but perhaps it's just helps bind things together. I did like the minute crunch from the nuts. Overall, a nice light snack and better than the toasted sesame bite I had at the other store. 4/5
Chai Latte - Oh this is my favourite. I know it's probably blasphemy to say that a chai latte is good without any tea in it but here I am. I loved it the first time I had it on Ossington and this one is no different. It's rich and creamy necause of the coconut milk, pistachios, cashews and medjool dates all blended in. It's spiced well with the cinnamon and cardamom playing the key notes. I do taste a bit more flavour and the official list also says cloves and star anise. I dont taste any licorce so its not the star anise... so maybe the cloves? Either way, it's delicious, creamy, soothing, and wonderful. My go to drink in Yorkdale now. They can do it heated or cold. 4.5/5
I'm actually thrilled this landed in Yorkdale. I often wondered if I should get a subpar flat white at Starbucks but no longer... I'm all about getting a chai latte or a fresh...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here on Monday September 8, 2025 (not my first visit nor my last but I feel compelled to review today). I have long been a customer of village juicery both in person, uber eats and through the app. I especially love their chaga cider and their beet juice and truly any of their juices help when im not feeling well to get better quicker. of course its also better to drink their products for prevention. I love all of their soups as well. On Monday I brought numerous empty bottles to add the points to my account. for some reason the company doesn't have the POS system connected to the points system in a way that you can use your phone number and email to have them add the points to your account and you need to physically have your phone and app to scan. it just so happened that my phone was in a 3 hour surgery at Apple. The employee who was helping me was likely also having the same sort of day I was on Monday (I was honestly at the verge of crying all over again from a feeling of hopeless despair all morning and having encounter so many hostile people that day since the moment I woke up). They said they weren't able to help me and I felt so awful that it would be inconveniencing them to have them email head office about adding the points to my account. The bag was heavy to carry around so I wrote down the bottles on a sticky pad. 3 hours later I went back to the store with my phone and the person was done their shift so it was new workers. I explained my situation about not wanting to cause them extra work so I came back with my phone to add the bottles points to my account so they didn't need to spend time emailing and following up. Steven (with the glasses) (sorry if this is the wrong spelling) was so empathetic (sharing that he had the same sort of day the day before) and I honestly had to turn away because I got the quiver lip and was tearing up. It might seem ridiculous but I really appreciated his help and I have no hard feelings about the person who was working before, I just wish the company would make it an easier process for their employees and customers to avoid this. Overall, thank you for your products and people. The reminder quote in the tile was a sprinkle of hope on the way out. Be kind and patient to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was browsing the shelves when I encountered a slurp juice looking item āe3 liveā I asked about the ingredients since it had none on the bottle. (Keep in mind itās a 60ml drink for 4.37) he prints out a receipt with over 80 ingredients, I asked how it tasted he made a disgusted facial expression and told me it tasted like nothing. He was a really cool guy but I feel like he gaslighted me into the purchase I proceeded to try the drink consuming half at once I was pretty mildly disgusted 8/10 and after freaking out in the mall I tried to finish it thinking it wouldnāt be that bad (it was way worse then the first time and I actually nearly threw up) I initially wanted it due to its resemblance from a video game known as Fortnite, but it tasted nothing like Fortnite. In fact it tasted like dead fish bones. It was horrible. I felt traumatized and scarred. Itās safe to say I will never be trying a blue drink again also, itās safe to say I will never coming back to that store. Also itās safe to say⦠do not try this if youāre allergic to fish I also feel sick to stomach ingredients had chlorophyll. I have no clue what that is. I am genuinely concerned as my stomach is bothering me and claimed to have effects such as boosting your energy and your mood and reducing stress, but in fact, I now feel more stressed out than ever, I am about to go smoke Hella shit I canāt even imagine how other people would react to this drink without a nice grubber spliff from Grabba god vending machine located in Rexdale thanks for everything shout out, bro. He was a cool worker, but I still think he lied to me I believe he knew exactly what I was getting into. I was grossed out Iām uncomfortable. donāt fire...
