We visited Wake’a Boo and were initially impressed by the ambiance—it had a beautiful design with Greek island vibes and lovely decorative details. However, the overall experience didn’t quite meet our expectations.

The service wasn’t exactly bad, but it wasn’t great either. Our server wasn’t very attentive, which took away from the experience. We ordered the Tiramisu Pancakes to share, expecting them to be the highlight of the brunch. Visually, they looked amazing, but unfortunately, they were the most disappointing dish. The flavor was very plain—so much so that we had to drench them in maple syrup just to give them some taste.

We also ordered the Avocado Breakfast, which came with eggs, hash browns, toast, seasonal fruit, and avocado. Everything tasted quite bland. The avocado was slightly oxidized, and both the eggs and hash browns lacked salt. The seasonal fruit portion was also minimal—just a small piece of pineapple, a quarter of a strawberry, and a slice of orange.

Lastly, we had the Hungry Man’s Breakfast, which included eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, and seasonal fruit. The same criticisms applied to the eggs, hash browns, and fruit. However, the bacon, ham, and sausage were probably the best part of the meal.

In general, the food looked great visually, but the flavor didn’t live up to the presentation. While the portions were generous, we felt the prices were a bit high for the overall taste...

Went there for the first time this morning to try out their brunch and left the restaurant in 25-30min after their so-called “only server” yelled at us.

Basically we, two individuals including myself arrived there before 9:30am and were sitting there for a while. We kept calling them to order our food but all three servers ignored us. We finally ran out of our prentice when we saw this one server lady started taking orders from larger groups of customers who came much later than us. As we asked her why she wouldn’t come take our orders first because we came much earlier, she raised her voice in front of the group of customers saying “Well, I am the only one sever here, so there’s nothing I can do!! At least you got coffee!”

We were like, we are done, let’s just pay for the coffee and leave, so we asked her for the coffee bill, and then this lady raised her voice again with her visibly agitated face and tone, “well the coffee is on me, we don’t need anything from you!”, so we just left. NEVER seen such a rude server in any restaurant lately.

Not sure if the sever lady was the owner or just one of family members helping the business, but here’s the thing: if you can’t handle your work properly because you are overwhelmed and need help, that’s ok; however do NOT take your frustration out on your customers who got nothing to do with your broken operations system.
