I’ve had plenty of bad restaurant experiences in Toronto, but this one takes the crown. What happened at this Wild Wing was so bafflingly bad that at several points I wondered if I was being pranked. We walked in after the Jays win in an incredible mood. I’d been hyping up Wild Wing’s legendary Gar Par fries for hours - thick wedges, smothered in garlicky parmesan sauce. I skipped food all day, starving and excited. Then we stepped inside. The music was painfully loud - not “fun bar” loud, but “this is actually damaging your ears” loud. Even with earplugs it was unbearable. My buddy had to literally go into the back where the staff were hiding (conveniently no speakers back there) to beg them to turn it down. This wasn’t them being accommodating - it was a hostage negotiation just to make the place survivable. Menus? Took 20–30 minutes. Staff (including someone who looked like a manager) walked by avoiding eye contact. We even double-checked online to see if they were closing early - nope, open until 2 a.m. Just no one wanted to deal with us. Finally the food - and this is where the night went from “annoying” to “unforgivable.” I ordered Gar Par fries, extra saucy. My friend ordered boneless wings with Gar Par sauce and fries. Another ordered sticky toffee pudding. Simple, right? Wrong. • My fries weren’t the same dish Wild Wing is known for. Instead of thick wedges, I got limp, soggy, generic fries. • The “Gar Par sauce” tasted exactly like Renee’s black-pepper Caesar dressing. No garlic. No parmesan. Just pepper. • The extra sauce I requested? Served in a side cup. Except it wasn’t Gar Par. It wasn’t Caesar. It was… dill dip. Meanwhile, my friend bit into his boneless wing, immediately spit it out, and told me to touch it. The chicken was frozen in the middle. Not cold. Frozen. We’d just waited an hour for an ice cube shaped like poultry. And the sticky toffee pudding? Never came. But yes - they still tried to charge him for it. Not a single server checked on us after dropping the food. When we finally flagged someone, they comped the frozen chicken (how could they not?) but otherwise acted unfazed. As for my fries - which I barely ate, left half on the table, and politely explained were not the dish I ordered - their solution was to knock $2 off a $13 plate of trash. The sticky toffee pudding never arrived, the service never recovered, and management’s reaction was shrug-tier. Two hours of what should’ve been a celebratory late-night snack became loud, miserable, and potentially dangerous. By the time we escaped, our Jays high was gone. My ears were ringing, I was still starving, and my friend spent the next morning sick from the frozen chicken. The contrast was brutal when we went to New Ho King in Chinatown, ordered, and got perfect food before I even finished writing this review. I walked in a loyal fan. I walked out furious, half-tempted to stand outside warning strangers not to enter. This location turned one of its biggest advocates into someone who will actively tell people to stay away. This wasn’t just disappointing. It was unbearable. It ruined our night, ruined our next morning, and left me genuinely concerned about my hearing and my friend’s health. Corporate: investigate sanitation, training, and food-sourcing at this site. If you care about customers, you’ll get in touch. If you value your money, your meal, your hearing, or your sanity: do not step foot in this location.

Normally I'm understanding and tolerant of workers at night considering they might have had a long day and fatigue can kick in. However, I don't enjoy continued lazy and uninterested service from the moment we arrive. Our server, Mario seemed to be very disinterested in our group upon arriving and seemed to be annoyed when we had questions regarding food and drinks. Even as far as going as saying certain drinks were for women only when we were inquiring about daily specials. And while we asked the question to see which drinks were part of the daily special, the server gave us the wrong information and we purchased drinks under that guidance but paid more. I found that despite our group of 6, we were respectful, quiet and obedient to the restaurant policies. My experience wasn't tainted from the food, but more so the service. Whenever we had questions, we seemed to be met with resistance or annoyance and we don't deserve such treatment. I wouldn't recommend coming here in a group given the fact that our experience was not enjoyable at all.

Late Night Cravings Satisfied & Excellent Service at Wild Wing! After the Snoop Dogg DJ, we were looking for a snack and came across Wild Wing on King Street West for some late-night eats around 2:00 am. The waitress was an absolute star ✨– super friendly and accommodating, even though it was close to closing time. There was no expectations for us to stay but she genuinely welcomed us and made us feel at home. We were grateful they could seat us and serve us some delicious wings (even though we were ready to eat outside 😂) Wings were fantastic, as always – perfectly cooked and the chips we got were crispy. Huge shoutout to the amazing waitress for making our late-night craving a success! I'll definitely be back (at a more reasonable hour next time!).

We came here last weekend on Aug 5. Long story short, our server Mario was absolutely terrible, but Henry is absolutely outstanding and definitely deserves a raise. He has our outmost respect.

Our server Mario was absolutely terrible. When I asked him a question he was extremely rude and dismissive towards me and walked away before I was done talking. Absolutely disgusting service by Mario. I dont even know how people like him work in the customer service industry and how he is still there now, especially after also reading other reviews who had similar negative experiences with Mario. On top of that we didnt get the appetizer we ordered. All the food we ordered didnt taste good & Mario added on things without asking , as an attempt to upcharge us.Thankfully, we caught on. When trying to talk to Mario, he chirped, dismissed us, ignored us and walked away. Absolutely terrible service by Mario - super disrespectful towards me and the other person I was with.

I spoke with Henry after Mario was dissimissive (as i had a very positive exchange with Henry when we first arrived). Let me just tell you, that man do we wish Henry served us in the first place. He’s absolutely amazing and understood our frustration. I only gave this place two stars because Henry was able to turn the night around for us after the disgrace of “service” that Mario gave. The food was 0 stars, Mario was negative 1000000 stars. Henrys service though?- postive however high numbers can go stars. Henry understands customer service and did a wonderful job of making the night better. He even brought us fresh food. Henry should definitely be given a raise. Just so you know, this place would have been given negative stars if it werent for Henry. Lets just say that Mario definitely didnt get a tip, but Henry sure did and our respect as well. Big ups to Henry! Thank you man, forver will appreciate you and your service & wish you truly all the best. You were raised right man. Such a respectful human being & a wonderful delight.

I would say dont go for the food, and definitely dont go for Mario’s “service”, but 100% go for Henry! Thank you so...

I went to this restaurant after an event in the city on May 18th, 2025. A group of us sat down and were waiting almost 20 minutes to be served. Mind you it was not busy at all… I eventually got up and found 3 waitresses legit hiding by the bar. I expressed how we’ve been waiting and are ready to order (we hadn’t even been given water or anything). At that point the 3 girls looked confused and paused and pointed at one of them saying “she will help you” she truly looked scared and surprised herself.

I went back to the table and we all ordered. I got fries, my friends got wings and veggies. When the food came, the wings tasted disgusting almost like they were frozen, thawed and then recooked. My friends were grossed out and stopped eating them. I shared the fries with the table as we were all starving by this point.

We wanted to check out of there as quickly as possible. We asked for the bills and she handed me the machine first. I was planning to pay cash but since she handed me the machine I tapped my card. She then took the machine and was holding it up to the sky looking for a connection. She continued this for about 2 minutes. She then handed me the machine back and said it didn’t go through. She didn’t give me a receipt saying this or anything.

I then felt uncomfortable so paid cash. She gave me my change everyone else paid and we left.

The next day I was checking my bank statement only to find out I was double charged by them (looks like the payment did go through). I immediately called them to be told the manager is not in until Friday at 8pm and come in. I do not live in Toronto nor would I be traveling back for their mistake. I called back Friday at 8pm only to be told the manager was busy and unable to speak… (good thing I didn’t even attempt to waste my time driving down)

I am spending more time looking to get a refund for a mistake on this restaurants end.

I do not recommend going here, the service is horrible, the food is horrible and if you do pay cash to avoid them...
