Holy how do people eat here?? We came in at 1130pm on a Saturday night. The floors weren't cleaned since they opened probably. Was actually disgusting... and i have a pretty good tolerance when it comes to level of disgusting. This was insane. We got seated at the dirtiest sticky table there. The server dropper the menu gave me a pencil so i could fill my own order out...which was cool it beats trying to talk to this guy who couldn't understand anything we said. The soy sauce was foaming when we tried to put some on our rice.. the hotsauce looks like theres fungus growing in it. Then when we told them they gave us food we didnt order he said no we did order it and that we would have to pay for it. We had order deep fried dry shrimp. We got some boiled head-on-prawns in a sweet and sour sauce served with cucumbers.... wth.. after we told them no one would eat the prawns he said fine we can throw it out but you have to pay. So we said fine and when we went to pay the cashier asked us why no tip??? We were pretty furious as it was. This guy actually asked us to tip him 3 times before we finished paying... don't worry we didnt tip this bafoon. Never going back. That place looks infested. They need to wipe their wall atleast. Probably never been wipe since this store opened shop. Dirty DISGUSTING and rude service. Save ur money and go anywhere else.... the skewers were fire though...
Read moreThis is one of my go to favourite spots. The food is spicy but worth the heat. I definitely recommend you try it. Hidden gem in Scarborough in popular Midland / Finch area. They serve Chinese BBQ - Sichuan cuisine. Very popular for their skewers - Chongqing Street Food. The skewers are fresh, hot, spicy, moist and tasty. The cumin is strong and spicy but super flavourful. The lamb skewers are the best, very addictive. I will also recommend the chicken fried rice - it’s one of the best! Their dumplings are a must have. The serving size is huge and cheap. If you are feeling for something more exotic - try the Spicy Flavour Roasted Fish. It is served with Glass Noodles (Fensi) and I don’t know what’s better the Noodles or the Fish. You can pay extra for extra noodles. The fish is freshly caught from their tank and prepared. Fish is generally an expensive item in Toronto and their price is fair. They recently renovated their restaurant and the decor is modern, inviting and comfortable. Most of the staff’s English is limited but they manage. They also have some whose English is more conversational. Tip : if you pay cash you can get a...
Read moreThis place is really popular. There is usually a lineup and has a variety of people who come here to enjoy their great skewers. They have a great variety and make a mean tasting bbq on skewers. Alot of people enjoy drinking beer with their meals, but once it gets a bit spicy, the most popular drink is the big can of arizona.
We got the staples. The lamb and beef skewers. The prices for these is quite reasonable and they give you better portions of the meat. I love the roasted bread after eating something spicy as it works great as a kicker. The tofu was really spicy and the red sausage was really good.
The other popular dish was this giant plate with lots of toppings that covered the bottom of the plate which was filled with noodles. The plate can serve at least 2 people.
This is like the chinese version of a izakaya. Come here with alot of people so you can order a larger variety of skewers. Come here for the food and not the service and the decor. Their other none skewer dishes are really good as...
