Yonge Seafood Gourmet — Restaurant in Toronto

I bought a dozen of oysters, halibut, 2 pounds mussels and scallops from them a few weeks ago. I’m happy with halibut and scallops.

Oyster - 2/12 are empty. When we opened the oysters 2 of them had nothing in the shells. I don’t know how could that even be possible.

Mussels - some of the mussels were open. Tried to tap a few of them they did not close.

At their price point I expect better quality food but this experience was...

The raw fish I bought here was perfect. The same level of quality as at my favorite restaurant! Loved to eat the tuna and organic salmon with no cooking. We'll definitely come back for more. This was my first time eating sashimi (raw fish) not in a restaurant. The service was nice, too. The woman I talked to patiently explained everything and answered my questions. What luck to have fresh fish in the neighborhood. I'm partial to the shrimps myself, especially since I don't have to clean them. The price is what you would expect to pay for quality.
