Food review: The standard breakfast was okay. There was no salt or pepper on the tables. No offer of hot sauce or anything else. Seems strange. Bacon was way overcooked. Eggs were properly cooked and bread was good.

Yogurt and granola was good enough. Strange to eat raisins in yogurt.

Advice to the restaurant: Acknowledge people when they walk in your front door. Either say hi to them or ask if they are going to eat in or take out. Alternatively, post signs that either say "seat yourself" or "please wait to be seated". Additionally, a sign that says "order here and take a seat" otherwise its assumed that there is table service. Asking for tips is a standard practice for just about every service these days, however, asking for tips and not providing table service while having customers clean up after themselves seems egregious. Either build the tip into the price of the food or at the least clean up the tables. Place salt and pepper on each table.

All in all, its a good place for Bridgewater. It gives the impression it will be fancy, but ends up coming off as mediocre. Small changes would really...

Fancy Pants Cafe is a destination stop in Bridgewater. Put it on your list. The atmosphere is a living organism, from the lighting to the decor to the unbelievably pleasant, wonderful staff. FPC take immense pride in their standard of service and how they treat people, and rightfully so; an ongoing lesson for other businesses in making your people your purpose.

The food and drink are carefully curated, consistently prepared, and delicious. As always, you will pay a little more for small-business and quality - but as a multi-visit-per-week customer, I'm confident in saying that you get your money's worth. My personal favorites: cold brew, smokey bacon & smoked cheddar (breakfast sandwich), chocolate crinkle cookie, chocolate pepito.

A+ food and drink; A+ atmosphere and service; Generous "punch card" loyalty program (drinks); Indoor and outdoor seating options including canopied picnic tables; Consistent experience makes every visit pleasant...

I eat where I need to if I’m hungry and there’s not a choice. I make do. I’m a survivor and a semi retired photojournalist. I know or can tell the differences between the normal franchise restaurants from the really special places. Fancy Pants is in Bridgewater NS and is continually a Favorite. Give it a try - you may see why I like it ! It’s a special Place because they add that little bit of extra love. It’s not the love of making money …. Nope, it’s the love of baking good food. Creating unique soups and sandwiches that fill my belly and satisfy me. Now I note that I spend a little more but I’ve decided - I’m worth it. I truly am. Upon competition of a snack, breakfast or lunch at FP Im not feeling the loss of my cash - nope I’m feeling the love of good people making good food - for me - cause I’m worth it. NOW I do know that perhaps you are worth it too - but you can decide. Tom Walker - Bragg Creek Ab...

Was in town visiting and simply wanted a cup of better than average coffee. Fancy Pants Cafe in Bridgewater delivered far (far) more than that! The coffee...top notch. The food...made with love and care (so good!). The atmosphere...the stuff that only stories are made of (and yet it was real)! Genuinely welcoming, hugs, elbow bumps, literal high fives, engaging interactions with children (from their eye level). Wow...thank you Fancy Pants Cafe. Thank you for giving me an unexpectedly awesome dining experience. I'm ruined now!! šŸ˜‰ To all the Bridgewater locals, keep patronizing this wonderful establishment. To all you visitors, travelers and passers through, fill your cup and your belly. Your day will be better for it.

My first experience at this place after being recommended by many friends. It did not disappoint. Place has indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, and the food was outstanding. I had the Big Vegan Sandwich, and while I am not in fact vegan, it was stellar. The sourdough bread was the star of the show, but everything in it was fresh and local, and the price was very reasonable. If you want real food and support a great local business AND have some real vegetarian/vegan options, this is your spot in Bridgewater, bar none.
