Absolutely REVOLTING. How is this place even open after providing this kind of quality?! I just finished consuming something from this place, and honestly I wish I could give negative stars. Im not really a person who complains or writes reviews, but I absolutely could not let this one slide. I have made the unfortunate mistake of ordering from this place three times now, out of sheer convenience. Don't make the same mistake I did.

First of all my tempura prawns were foul. They were slimy, raw, and smelt horrendous, I'm sure ill be very ill a few hours from now, im already experiencing stomach upset. The sushi rolls were downright despicable. The avocado within was solid mush, and was quite rotten. The taste it left in my mouth was one I unfortunately won't soon forget, exactly what one wishes for when ordering sushi right? One shouldn't be grimacing and nearly puking after paying a small fortune to have a decent meal, when I pay for something, I expect something in return, what I don't expect is to be suffering. It was lucky that I had an avocado in my fridge, so I could attempt to remake the sushi into something edible.

And to top it off, I found not one but six SIX nasty hairs in my food, some embedded into the roll that I wouldn't even have noticed if I hadn't been forced to take it apart to remove the nasty rotten avocado and replace with my own fresh avocado. Have they employed a bloody werewolf? Or do they brush their hair over food? I have never ever seen this in all my life. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Go anywhere but here, and if you must eat here, make sure you have all of the food and supplies to recook and remake ALL of the food you have ordered and paid for, and a very large garbage can to dispose of basically everything once you get home and take a bite of it..

Or you could just throw your money away and then go an buy and make your own sushi at home, thats essentially what I did today. Say NO, to...

We have been a number of times already, as we live in the new condo's a block away. While the food is good, I find the service pretentious. A very young man is very demanding and pushes his style of service on you. He is always in a hurry even when there are only a few tables. It's hard to relax when the waiter is rushed. He touches the drinking part of the tea cup with his fingers, which I find gross, and you have to beg to get a refill of the tea.

My wife and her friend went to this place every Monday night at 7.15 after yoga. Despite the place not being very busy, they refused to give then a 4 top seat. Many times, when the two toppers were full, other diners with only 2 people would get the 4 topped tables. They serve regular size portions on very large plates, so a 2 top table gets very crowded very quickly. After going for two year and spending $50 each visit, times 50 weeks times 2 years, about $5000, they have decided they have had enough and now to to a great place in Walnut Grove. Regulars should be treated like the loyal customers they are. Its a real shame because we are walking distance from this place. Food is good, service, not so much. You are just a...

Noma is very typical of sushi restaurants in local neighborhoods. The menu includes a nice blend of the usual favorites with some in-house creations for those wanting something different. We appreciated our waiter telling us about the flavor and scent of the seafood we were ordering. It was a level of care and attention that was welcome.

The rolls and sushi were fresh and flavorful on the whole. Large rolls were oversized for single mouthfuls and the vegetable roll was mostly spring mix salad available at any grocery store. The BC roll was full of cooked salmon, rather than toasted salmon skin as normal. However, the food was all quite tasty.

Where the restaurant misses five stars is in cleanliness and upkeep. The inside seating seems more of an afterthought and the place is showing wear and tear. One particularly bothersome part of our meal was the flying insects. We encountered an aggressive wasp, house flies, and small fruit flies. If we were outside, I would understand; but we were inside and away from the door.

Is this sushi restaurant worth a visit? Yes, I think so. It is not going to be destination dining; but a good choice if...

Ok, I typically order less sashimi the farther away I am from the ocean, however, wherever Noma is sourcing their sashimi from is amazing! This is likely the 2nd best sashimi I've had in the GVR and that includes the 50+ sushi restaurants that I have been to over the past 15 years. The cost to portion ratio of their salmon/tuna sashimi sampler did not disappoint. Beautiful cuts served on a chilled plate with some of the pieces of fish that some pieces nearly covered the palm of my hand. That platter itself was probably 20 to 22 inches across (I did not have a measuring tape at the time). Along with the rest of their stunning and tasty menu, (not the first I have eaten here), I have to highly recommend the you try this place of you haven't already.

I recently visited Sushi Noma in Langley, and honestly, it was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had. The quality of the fish, the freshness, and the presentation were all exceptional. Every bite tasted incredible — even the soy sauce and spicy sauce were so flavorful! The rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, which really showed how much care goes into every dish. On top of that, the service was outstanding — everyone was so kind, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome. For the quality you get, the prices are more than fair. It’s clear that Sushi Noma truly values both taste and hospitality. I can’t wait to come back again soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, high-quality sushi! 🍣✨
