Woking Dragon — Restaurant in Township of Langley

My husband and I order takeout from here once every week or every second week without fail. We used to have a different go to place for Chinese but when we were no longer happy with the place, we tried woking dragon and have never stopped going ever since. You get the full package here with incredible service, amazing food and such consistency. Seriously a bang for your buck with the price and the portion sizes. I am a vegetarian also with strict allergy's and they are the most accommodating place I've ever eaten at. They cater to whatever diet/allergies you have and take it seriously when you make certain requests. My husband and I usually order the dinner for 1 meals and there are always leftovers! Perfect when it's just the two of us. We have ordered a bunch of dishes before as well but the portion size was so big for just the two of us (but who's complaining)!!

The staff is so friendly and they never fail to make sure you get what you want or make it right if something doesn't come as requested. (Which has only ever happened once.) we do pickup sometimes but most often we order on Uber and they always check the special instructions which makes ordering off of the apps less stressful when you have dietary restrictions.

We have never eaten inside as I have a baby but I would absolutely love to one day. The atmosphere inside looks really nice and clean which is important to us.

Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for really good, affordable Chinese food where you don't leave feeling like you got ripped off on portion size for the amount you pay. I hope they never change because they have a really good thing going...

We have enjoyed Woking Dragon's food in the past, so we decided to order from there for Christmas Eve 2020. I called at 3:30 for a 5:30 pick-up time but was told that scheduled pick-ups wouldn't be available until 7 pm. I called back at 4:50 to order and was told it would take 50 minutes. I went to the restaurant at 5:40 and paid for my order. There were quite a few people there waiting for orders when I arrived. We were all outside the entrance to the restaurant. It was 1 degree celsius. I had a Zoom family meeting planed for 6:00 but I thought I would be back in time even if the food was ready 10 or 15 minutes later than promised.

As time wore on, it become clear that 6 o'clock wasn't realistic so I had the meeting pushed back to 7. As bags of food (very) slowly appeared, it became clear that some orders had been prepared for scheduled pickup times, so I asked about that. I was told that scheduled orders were taken until there was no longer any capacity and then they took other orders. So they were fulfilling unscheduled orders in between scheduled orders. I waited outside the restaurant for 90 minutes before my food order was finally ready. I was late for my Zoom meeting and actually began attend it from the sidewalk in front of the restaurant.

I know it was Christmas Eve and they were very busy, but if they are going to accept my order and my payment, I expect to receive my order in a more timely fashion. If you can't do it, tell me.

They gave me a $5 gift certificate because of the lateness of the delivery of the order. I won't...

We have been ordering from Woking dragon since it opened early 2020 i believe, food has been very good, the atmosphere of the restaurant when open is good and delivery is fast...Until Christmas eve Dec 24, 2020. We had earlier decided that delivery was the option for dinner and called ahead to see what time they were open until. At 5:15 went online to order food and ask for a delivery time based on what the web page said expecting to have food approx. 70 min later. I received a message on my phone about 15 min stating that they are not able to keep the time requested for delivery due to the volume of orders and we should have our food in approx. 2 hours, if this was not good then to please call, which i did not because i was ok with that wait due to it being Christmas eve. I called the restaurant about 7:30pm asking how much longer my order might be and was put on hold, when she came back i was told that my slip could not be found and it must be out for delivery and give it 30 minutes. I did not receive in that time frame so i called again and was then told that they would put a rush on it and was told that they had over 300 bills and this would take time, apologized and said good bye. Food finally showed at 8:20, chop suey was nothing but broccoli and a few other vegetables, the rest of the food was close to cold. Sure made Christmas Eve dinner a Bust! Having to pre-pay, tip and get this kind of service does not sit well, we as a family that are on the fence as to whether we will order...
