Planet Java Fifties Diner atmosphere and memorabilia are excellent! Definitely a blast from the past! However, an update on the restaurant is much needed. I did not use bathrooms. As for service, you order at the front counter. There are a lot of signs, I'm not sure if there is a sign posted saying to order at counter but we didn't notice any. We found a table waited for 10 minutes then went to counter to see what the hold up was. They do bring food to your table. We found the staff very friendly but busy. Lastly, the food is good enough. For the prices you really can not beat it, especially with families. I had the clubhouse and fries. My husband had the Reuben with fries. Both sandwiches had packaged sliced deli meats & sliced cheese. The fries were costco fries and they were fresh & tasty. This restaurant was a suggestion from out of town friends. They liked the look of the restaurant. Of course they did! It really is a wonder to look around. I may look around in some of my junk to see if anything I have should go there and try to donate. Advice to owner - bring in fresh meats instead of deli meats, eg turkeys, hams & roast beefs. Or even if you only get a potato fry cutter and use bc potatoes. And for gosh sakes hire more people!!! We only seen 3 individuals the whole time. And they all deserve a huge thank...

We went here on Canada Day, we were surprised to actually get a seat as we expected a lot of people at lunch time. There was no line up either when we came in but as soon as we sat and waited for our order people started showing up and the line started to build up. The 50's Diner theme is pretty cool however I feel that the whole place itself needs a bit of updating or cleaning perhaps. Our food was served at a reasonable speed, My husband ordered James Dean Burger w/ fries and I ordered Chicken Fingers with Salad and Rootbeer Float. The sides were interchanged when they served our orders, it was not a big deal but it would have been easier for us if they have served it correctly. The James Dean Burger was a bit too greasy for my husband but otherwise the taste was good. The chicken fingers tasted like they were store bought like Real Canadian Chicken fingers - so I was a bit disappointed with that. The only item that made me happy was the rootbeer float just because I have been wanting to get for awhile and I didn't have the chance so finally, I had one but still nothing extraordinary. The...

We came here for an early lunch. Placed our order sat down. Waited about 15-20 minutes (not a big deal) for one plate of food to come out.. Then ANOTHER 10-12 minutes for another plate. About 5 mins after the 2nd plate I asked if my daughter would be getting her simple order of poutine. I was told 3 minutes! I said really? About to ask why.. Unfortunately the young girl bussing decided to walk away from me. 15 mins later we get her poutine. I went over to the ice cream station asked for a manager, another young girl who wouldn't make eye contact to me he is "over there" Super helpful..

I went up to the manager told him the issues. All he said way oh sorry and some food takes longer to cook. Yes.. I understand that. So you plan your bills so everything comes out at once. Even 1-2 mins behind I wouldn't have an issue. So he was full of excuses, said sorry. That was that. Mind you there wasn't many tables at that time. Even still waiting 20 minutes in between plates is horrible. Horrible service. The food...

While wandering around the crowded streets of Fort Langley we stumbled into this place and sat down for a well deserved Milkshake and snack, although the place is carefully partitioned for Covid restrictions we were still able to sit at a comfortable booth and enjoy our tasty milkshakes and snacks. Everywhere you there are relics from the fifties lots of photos and artifacts, incessant 50’s music and a freaky Elvis Presley statue glowering at you from the corner (I’m certain Elvis would rollover in his grave if he was aware of this particular monstrosity) regardless the place is kitschy fun and the kids seem to enjoy it. Portions were big and prices reasonable, the place seems to be run by a Korean couple who although their English is not great were polite and eager to please, our food was delivered quickly and volcanically hot. Milkshakes were awesome and portions were huge. In all not a bad little place!

Went to this diner today for the first time, and it was a complete disappointment. Walked in, and the guy at the till seemed to be 1 of 2 employees working, and took over five minutes until I could order (with only one person ordering before me). I ordered a strawberry milkshake, paid $5, was told to wait outside. I stood outside the door, he scooped pink ice cream, and then put the blender on for 5 whole minutes. He finally poured it into a cup, wasn’t even full, no whip, and it tasted like cough syrup. My kids wouldn’t even drink it! Do yourself a favour and don’t waste your time here. The restaurant was also incredibly old, dingy, and dirty looking. Would not recommend, ever.
