The waiter (thicker blonde lady workingSaturday July 31), was absolutely RUDE. I am so shocked at how she communicates with patrons. I actually have dealt with her many times, but today I left. I will not be comming back to TJs when she’s working there. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth having to deal with her.
To name a few of my encounters :
She asked me a question, which I politely responded, she I guess didn’t hear me and decided to dramatically lean over the table in front of my face and repeat herself, I politely repeated my self.
Another time she was taking our order, mis heard us, gave a belting laugh and the slapped my arm. Me and this waiter are not on this level of understanding, nor have we ever had a conversation in away that would put us as casual friends,
My friend tried to order a side of eggs and bacon, and she wouldn’t have it, it was an ackward show down, as she was trying to make my friend order a breakfast meal, however she didn’t want the toast and the hash browns (yadi-yada, who cares right?) after having to explain her self the waiter said she was just trying to save her money by ordering it a cheaper way, Sure what ever but the aggression and condescending manner was over kill.
I’ve witnessed her be conferrational with multiple patrons, and I’m absolutely astounded that she still has a job to this day, with this establishment, as she is completely rude to coustomers.
Today I walked in and there was no greet, no hello, she simply pointed to the table by the back entrance, that in my opinion had a horrible seating arrangements, I decided to ask her if she knew how long until a booth opened up, as I would gladly wait. As I stood waiting by the back door, she finally walked back over and again just pointed to the back table. Politely I asked if she knew how long until she thought a booth would be available. I kid you not, her response was a shrug of the shoulders, after an akward paused momment, she said no idea Feeling fed up with this womens energy and demeanour, I turned around to leave. I didn’t even respond to her, what was there to say. See me walk out the door, I believe she got a litter flustered (I like to believe realizing how rude she had just been) and proceeded to tell me it will be 5-10 minutes.
It’s kind of like the straw the broke the camals Back, every other waiter in this place is great. Why they have this women working on a busy Saturday is beyond me. If she is the serve on staff I will not come in. I don’t need to start my day with her energy...
Read moreThis restaurant is so good it cured my depression, after eating my meal (beef dip & au jus) I felt reinvigorated and ready for anything.
The food is great value, huge plates of food for 10-12 dollars. They serve lunch and dinner food in the morning when most places only serve breakfast.
Staff was pleasant and responsive. They do a good job with their limited staff.
Dedicated to covid-19 safety, they turned away 2 sets of people who couldn't produce their vaccine cards and ID. As respectfully as possible, no vaxx passport, no service.
A few minutes after they turned away an unvaccinated couple, a very elderly woman came into the restaurant. This is who we are protecting, I felt proud that the community effort made it safe for her to come out and enjoy a meal.
Anyways if you are on the fence about eating here just go for it, you won't regret it. Only complaint is that the restaurant isn't bigger which is hardly...
Read moreI recently visited TJ’s in Aldergrove, BC and tried their Trucker’s Breakfast, which included eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and potatoes. The menu was displayed on the wall, making it was difficult to read.
While the portion size was generous, the meal itself was underwhelming. The bacon was overcooked and lacked flavor, and the potatoes—cut into large chunks—were similarly bland. On the plus side, they offered a choice of bread for toast, and I opted for rye, which was enjoyable. The sausages were well-cooked and flavorful.
Overall, while the breakfast was filling, it wasn’t particularly remarkable. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t go back, as the flavors didn’t stand out enough to make it worth a...
