Caffe Americano — Restaurant in Trail

I come to this Cafe every time I'm visiting family in the area. Even though my family lives outside of town I go into Trail just to stop in. The owner/operstor is a sweet lady and makes good food and drinks. The food is great and the drinks are great. Today I took my teen daughter there and she absolutely loves the place as well. We both ordered the BLAT (Bacon Lettuce avocado and tomatoes) we had fries with it as well. Daughter had raspberry Italian soda and some lemon pastry as well and she couldnt shut up about how good it all was. I had a Machiato with lunch and chocolate iced coffee to go as it was very hot out today. I definitely suggest stopping in, you won't regret it. It's definitely better than the fast food joints right by the highway going through town. It's not far at all from the main road and we akways find parking. If we were locals we would be going there far more often. My daughter would probably be there every day as she still is talking about it lol. We stumbled across this restaurant with an understated store front whilst in Trail for the day . Once inside the delicious sounding menu with organic veg and vegetarian option , made our mouths water.

We decided to try the chicken bacon lettuce and avocado burger on a home made bun, with a side salad. Dinna temporarily a one women show , took our order cooked our food and delivered it seamlessly. The home made bun (have you ever had this ?) chicken moist the avocado ripe perfectly cooked bacon with crunchy lettuce . The side salad was equally as delicious and generous with surprises like sugar snap peas and cheese cubes plus an unexpectedly big hunk of fresh perfect cantaloupe . Unfortunately the latte was not creamy and tasted a bit bitter and too hot. While the pizza was good, I was asked if “That was enough?” Maybe I should’ve said more if the price was actually posted at $10 vs. the $6 on the menu. Update you menu so people know what they’re getting ahead of time. It’s also odd to be the only person running the restaurant then complaining that too many people come at once and then still want a tip while saying you had to raise prices. You’re the owner.

There is limited seating here and service is slow. The pizza was good....
