Extremely disappointing. My family and I ate here about a month ago and the food was great, we were so excited to come back tonight but unfortunately it was a very different experience this time around. The hostess was super sweet, but our waitress came and didn’t even introduce herself. Just “what would you like for drinks”. I don’t even know that she said hi. It was just abrupt and unwelcoming. We then ordered the arancini as an appetizer for my daughter and it was frozen in the middle. We let our server know and she replaced them. No big deal. They were busy and I get that mistakes happen. We then proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our mains. Which again, they’re busy. I get it and it wouldn’t have bothered me to wait if the food was good. But the food finally came and my daughter’s pasta had very obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time and my partner picked a large chunk of onion peel out of one of his onion rings. When he asked for more ketchup it didn’t come. But the worst of all was my pizza. I ordered gluten free crust which I understand comes frozen but there’s no way anyone thawed it or even attempted to. It was soggy and uncooked when it arrived. I could tell from first glance that it wasn’t cooked and as a server myself, I’m not sure how our server didn’t send it back the minute she saw it. They clearly slapped on some toppings and threw it in the oven on broil so it at least looked a little brown on the top but the bottom was completely uncooked. I didn’t eat it and I didn’t even bother to complain. No one asked why I didn’t eat it, if it was good.. nothing. Incredibly disappointing. We won’t be back.

I stopped in Truro on my travels and seen this restaurant while visiting a nearby walking park. It seemed quite busy and thought to myself it may be a nice restaurant to stop for supper 🍽 🤔 Parking lot was quite full, a good sign maybe lol. Was seated on the patio as requested, very cozy. I had ordered a Chicken Carbonara because it had great reviews and Italian Sausage Soup for the side dish. 10 minutes past and then a lady came with bread and butter, ten minutes after that 2nd lady came with a Cesar salad that I didn't order and then 15 minutes later a 3rd lady came and stretched out and passed me my dish instead of taking a few extra steps to put my meal in front of me. What got me the most was neither one of the three ladies came back to check on me or ask me if I would like to have a drink....lol The atmosphere of the restaurant fantastic, $19 for pasta seemed a little expensive for the portions but was very good, Cesar and bread was fine, the service wasn't that great at all. 😔 Yes I would go again and and order something different

Went with my grandmother for her birthday. My grandmother kept telling the staff it was her birthday and not a single one wished her happy birthday. My grandmother has hip issues which is very obvious but the lady who sat us was very fast to the point where my grandmother said where did she go. There was no small talk. Noone asked us what brought us in, where we were traveling from, how old our baby is or if this was a first visit. I didn't expect there to be peppers in the broccoli chicken alfredo. It was simular to a frozen alfredo. My grandmother did not eat the meatballs in her spaghetti and verbally told the server they weren't good and nothing was done. The cheese and bacon loaf was very good, the ceasar salad, the carbonara pasta, the wings and chicken bayou sandwich. The bathroom badly needs a renovation or atleast a new toilet seat. Won't be our place of choice when we travel next from Halifax.

This place came highly recommended by a family member and this was our first time there. It started out great, however, quickly went down hill. My mother never received what she ordered, my dad's meal was barely warm and dried out and mine looked as though someone already had it and sent it back. Kitchen was excessively slow with all our food. Other tables were sat, ordered after us and had eaten, paid and left when we were still waiting on our main meal. The manager offered to reheat my father's food until she saw the look on his face, then offered a fresh meal. (what manager in their right mind offers to reheat something that was suppose to be fresh in the first place) If we wanted reheated food we would have stayed home and had leftovers, which clearly would have been the better choice. We had waited so long we didn't want to wait any longer. The manager apologized, however, did nothing else to rectify the issues properly and/or professionally. She was pretty young so I'm thinking she may not even be experienced to handle these types of situations. My mom still left with the wrong meal, apparently due to miss communication on their behalf as per the manager. This was not our doing and therefore, should have been dealt with on the spot. We were disgusted at how it was handled so we paid the ...

Tried here for supper last Thursday evening at about 6pm (a nice October evening). My friend and I were greeted almost immediately and seated at a booth up on the raised level section. The place wasn't busy, I'd say half full at best. The server took our order and was friendly. The side Caesar salads and bread arrived a few minutes later, brought by a different server. We had to ask for water again (weren't provided with anything to drink). After finishing the salads (which were good, the standard, and the bread very good as usual), we waited probably half an hour for our entrees. No one came to the table to explain the delay, etc. When our meals arrived, neither were warm, so we figured they had been sitting there a little while before being picked up. My spaghetti and meatballs was fine, maybe a bit overcooked. My friend's sausage penne with peppers was a bit bland. I ate a bit more of his than he did since I was hungrier. It wasn't the worst experience, but just not good. We would've spoken up at the time, but didn't want to wait around for the meals to be heated up or replaced, as we were driving from Sydney to Halifax and anxious to get back on the road. I'd give here a second chance if someone asked me to go here, but it's not on my list to...
