Col. Mcgrady's Pub & Grill Inc — Restaurant in Uxbridge

I had heard good things about this place, so 12 of us booked ahead for dinner to celebrate a birthday. It was decently busy when we first arrived, with things beginning to quiet down when we ordered our meals. After waiting nearly half an hour, presumably the owner, returned to us explaining there had been some sort of mistake, taking all of our orders again. We waited about 25 minutes for the food to slowly trickle in. Most of the orders were wrong or incomplete, causing delays and several trips back and forth for them. Two of us were done eating by the time all the meals were served and mostly correct. I can't speak to the quality of the other meals, but the three crispy chicken sandwiches contained overcooked chicken, complete with carbon marks on the breading (weird) and totally dried out. The aioli sauce was so slight it made for a very dry sandwich. We were assured by those at the table who had been there before that this was a highly unusual experience, but judging by the reaction of owner/staff's lack of shame or embarrassment, seems to be just another Saturday. Decided to try something new and very glad we did. Came in and was welcomed by who I think was the owner right away with a smile. Sat down, got our drinks fast, a good selection of beers that pair well with the pub fair offered on the menu. We had another server that graciously asked if we needed anything else, the customer service was perfect. Menu is very diverse yet not over whelming. My wife got the butter chicken, and I ordered a club sandwich, we shared both and they were excellent. The butter chicken was savoury and not sure if it was home made but I could get a good taste of the cumin, turmeric, garlic and ginger. I am very picky about club sandwiches and it was spot on. Smokey bacon, good size chicken, and I love they add onions which most people don't thing to do. I wish I got a picture to share, but overall great meal, well needed after a long day of work. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise others to avoid this pub. The service was completely unacceptable.

One man—possibly the owner—was running the entire place and clearly had no idea what he was doing. He repeatedly got our orders wrong, was disorganized, and spoke to us in an unprofessional and rude manner.

There were no other staff members in sight, which made the service even slower and more chaotic. As for the food, it was inedible. It tasted terrible, and none of us could finish what we ordered.

This was a complete waste of time and money. The management clearly doesn’t care about customers or quality. I will never return, and I suggest others steer...
