This cafĂ© is my absolute favorite! Their coffee is top-notch, and I especially love their affogatoâitâs unbelievably good, especially in the summer. The combination of rich espresso and creamy ice cream is just perfection. Every time I get it, it feels like a special treat. The quality of their coffee is always consistent, and Iâve never been disappointed. One thing to keep in mind is that the affogato flight (three small servings) has recently gone up in price by about $2. While itâs still worth it for the taste and experience, itâs something to be aware of. Despite the price increase, I still find myself coming back because the flavors and quality make it completely worth it. The biggest downside is the seatingâitâs always packed, and finding a spot, especially on weekends, is nearly impossible. Most of the time, I just get my coffee to go, but I really wish I could sit down and enjoy the cozy atmosphere more often. The cafĂ©âs dĂ©cor is beautiful, and itâs the kind of place where youâd love to relax with your drink, but unfortunately, seats are hard to come by. That being said, I still highly recommend this place! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the quality of everything they serve is fantastic. If youâre a coffee lover, this cafĂ© is a must-visit. Just be prepared for the seating challenge, or plan to take your coffee to go like...

Over the past year or so, the quality of Apertureâs food/drinks and service has deteriorated to such a degree that I feel compelled to leave this updated review.
I ordered a matcha latte. It took 10 minutes despite there only being one customer before me. When the barista handed me my drink, it was cold. The barista stared and replied âok sorryâ after being informed of the same. I also informed the cashier that it was cold, and they responded âoh sorryâ. There was no offer to re-make my drink, nor was there an offer of a refund. I felt like a jerk, but I couldnât justify spending $10 on a cold latte and reluctantly requested a refund, which made me feel like a Karen.
The last three occasions ordering the breakfast croissant have been disappointing and expensive. It used to be delicious and made with care. Now, the ingredients are scant and thrown together in a clump and not spread out like a proper sandwich.
My original review from approximately 3 years ago gave Aperture 5 stars and high praise. I am sorry to be giving such a negative review, but it is truly sad that Vancouverâs once-greatest coffee shops has fallen this far. I hope this review will help to galvanize Aperture towards improvement.

Read more-1 star to the service from the Asian face server. *No stereotype because Iâm also Asian. But I only know she has Asian face, she refused to tell her name. She firstly didnt respond to any greeting or asking. Secondly, she made our order wrong by giving only 1 ounce of whiskey. We double confirm whether this is 1 or 2 ounce. She said 2 ounces, but we did see her only pour 1 once in cup. We understand they are not familiar with the recipe, but donât lie⊠đShe was rude comparing with the other girl who always smile and trying to help and serve us. Example: she never said thank you or hello or bye when we purchase or order or ask something. This is the worst experience we had during Vancouver trip. đ€ Vibe: đthe vibe is good, but dark and filled with motorcycle chars, donât recommend for studying or working but chatting. Food: đdonât order any alcohol!!! Nobody orders that, so servers have no idea on the recipe. đMatcha is the worst matcha I have ever had! đDonât recommend food either, we ordered full breakfast for $17, all meat and potato is from frozen to reheat⊠đAvocado is fresh, sour cream is also good to taste. đjazz music...
