There is no way I would step into this store again. In fact, I regretted not leaving immediately but waiting for the staff who kept the package in his hand while continued yelling at me.
The guy yelled me yesterday was at least 185cm, man, fit. And I was shorter than 170cm, woman, Chinese. That was simply physical aggression and violence.
He never stopped yelling at me before I left, even tho I didn't say a word, too astonished by such rudeness and condescending attitude. This is how the staff here act when "they know nothing"?! If anyone act like that in a retail space, they would surely be asked to leave.
Dashers are store's partners not their slaves. They serve the same customers with different services. The store who cares for the customers would take the wait time into consideration, just like the dasher who cares for the customers would remind the store they missed something. The store is not the boss.
For me, I Dash to know more about my local community because it is fun - see where people eat and have a look at the places - maybe I'd like to go there myself. While I was looking around the store thinking about these, I was suddenly treated as a criminal. Certainly, a customer is lost, if not more.
Sep 6 Cannot believe the customer service people/and maybe the owner in a candy place talked sooo rude, disrespectful and discriminative.
Finished dinner nearby and cannot help picking up a doordash order on the way home. The items were packaged but not in the brown bag (all the other places I have picked up from always handed me the sealed brown bag). The only staff was busy with two customers and seemed not ending the talk. I was in a rush as delivery was counted by minutes. And I had never seen a store leaving packaged products on the counter besides the brown bag, unattended . Could it mean they expected me to put them in and take them? So I put the two items into the brown bag and walked to the only staff to let her know (even tho I could walk away then).
Before I reached the lady, a man with an aggressive face rushed out of nowhere and yelled at me: "Don't touch our stuff! You got paid!" I looked at him too astonished to say any word. "Don't let me see it again!" He continued yelling, staring into my eyes.
Omg....I was never talked to like a criminal as such (maybe except at the US border), absolutely treated with no human dignity. I cannot believe this is customer service people talking to customer service people, and at a candy shop???!!! Drastically different from usually very courteous and thankful store staff. It's like treating some second class people. And what's on your mind? Playing two faces with customers and delivery people? Or you think I could not be your customer just because I delivered for one of your customer? Or you think I cannot write review?
This is how this candy store act....

Review:
I recently visited Yum Sweet Shop in Vancouver, a delightful little place known for its ice cream and extensive selection of candies. While the shop offers an array of tempting treats, I found the ice cream options to be quite limited, with a noticeable absence of chocolate flavors. Although my experience was enjoyable, it didn't quite leave a lasting impression.
I decided to try the cappuccino flake ice cream, which boasted a rich coffee flavor and a creamy texture. The addition of chocolate chips complemented the espresso taste beautifully, resulting in a truly enjoyable combination. One pleasant surprise was the complimentary waffle cone, a thoughtful touch that enhanced the overall experience.
The shop's decor caught my eye and created a charming ambiance. However, when it comes to the ice cream selection, I couldn't help but feel that Yum Sweet Shop falls short. The limited variety of flavors and their similarity to those found in regular ice cream shops were somewhat disappointing.
In conclusion, Yum Sweet Shop is a decent spot to satisfy your ice cream and candy cravings. The cappuccino flake ice cream, with its delightful coffee taste and chocolate chips, was a highlight of my visit. The complimentary waffle cone was a nice touch as well. However, the lack of variety in the ice cream offerings and their similarity to other establishments prevent me from rating it higher than 3 stars. While the shop's appealing decor adds to its charm, it doesn't quite make up for the limited...
Read moreSuch a lovely ice cream and sweets shop! The decor is a beautiful cheery blue, as are the front patio umbrellas and benches as well as the indoor seating.
There was a beautiful array of bright lollipops and crystal sticks for purchase on the counter by the cashier, and delicious looking ice cream sandwiches inside the front counter cases. Also in the front are ice cream and sorbet options for vegans. We opted for a bright blue birthday cake ice cream scoop and I was recommended the cappuccino flake ice cream which I had in a plain waffle cone (although there are different and way more fun options loke chocolate covered cones, sprinkle cones, etc.) and it was amazing and tasted like every bit of realistic cappuccino flavour possible.
Although my time inside the shop was short, I definitely wanted to browse longer because of the candy along the middle and walls that you can fill your own treat bags with (reminds me of the old Sweet Factory days!). There were lots of interesting and humorous prepackaged candies in the middle section that I’ve never seen before and I even spotted a coffee machine near the back and prepackaged ice cream pints for those on the go. I did notice milkshakes as well and would come back to try this. Basically anything your sweet tooth could want, they 100% have!! Definitely recommended especially if you’re looking for something sweet but want a variety to choose from to satisfy that craving.
PS, very instagram worthy ice cream cone and lollipop painting on the...
