I walked past this Vietnamese restaurant in Kerrisdale many time and eventually I got the chance to give it a try. They have total 5 restaurants in Vancouver and this one is located in Kerrisdale Village. The restaurant was spacious and tidy. They removed the tables in the center area so it is more spacious. The window seat with the W41th Avenue wire was nice, especially in a sunny afternoon. My wife and I went there for a late lunch at around 3pm. We ordered the crab meat rice noodle and the Spring rolls and chicken rice. The crab meat rice noodle tasted good with the soup. The ingredients MCL using the crab meats and some tofu skins and tomatoes. They all matched well. For the rice, the chicken fillet was marinated with lemongrass and it was grilled properly awoke my taste buds. The fried spring rolls was crispy. The overall portion was sufficient for me. For the service, it was generally OK. We didn’t have many interactions with the servers. Overall the vibe was good. I will try more other dishes there next time.

I recommend 3 noodle soups here: 1) Fish cake pho 2) Bun rieu (crab and pork pho) 3) Grilled lemongrass chicken pho Like others have said I wouldn’t recommend their regular pho because it’s pretty normal, but their specialty pho tastes really good. My personal favorite is the fish cake pho, because I like the thicker noodles better than the crab one but it comes at a close second. The broth is very tasty and aromatic, and it satisfies my craving well when I don’t feel like going all the way to East Van for a good bowl of fish cake/crab pho. I’ve had chicken pho, but i’ve never had it with grilled lemongrass chicken so it was new to me. The broth has the grilled charcoal flavour of the lemongrass chicken and is a good option if you’re craving a lighter chicken pho compared to the regular beef pho.

Have come here before for Pho and Banh Mi, both very good. Today was going to another restaurant but they were out of Banh Mi. Baoguette Vietnamese Bistro was close so we called and ordered pick up. Service was quick and easy. Got two Banh Mis and Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Chop with Fried Egg. Two thin pork chops, a good amount of rice, and julienned carrot, radish, and cucumber, and a side of dipping sauce. I also asked for a little cup of chili oil. The sandwiches were good as usual. The glaze on the pork chop was more on the sweeter side of what I'm used to but still flavourful. The egg was just set and all together with the chili oil it was delicious and filling. Good taste and good value. *They are cash and debit only.

I ordered lemongrass chicken with vermicelli but found pork when I opened the container at home. Called the restaurant and told them I would be there to return the order and pick up my lemongrass chicken. When I handed the food to the lady at the counter, she opened it, took a look at it, walked over to the drink cooler at the corner, and put it in the plastic bag that was already in it. I did not want to confront her about that as they were preparing my food. As I was standing there wondering why my food wasn't ready, I saw a lady inside the kitchen putting something in the microwave. I wondered if it was my chicken, and it was. She took it out of the microwave, put it in the take-out box that was ready, handed it to the server, and she handed it to me. As I was driving home, I started wondering where my food might have been. Knowing that the food that I had returned did not get thrown out made me seriously wonder if I had just picked up another order that had been returned. They wouldn't do that especially during the pandemic, would they? I just don't know. All I know is that I could not possibly eat the food. I called the restaurant to talk to the owner, but it was clear that the lady at the counter did not want me to talk to them. She kept on asking what it was about and finally told me that the owner was not there. If you are the owner of the store, I really hope that you care about people's health and safety in a time like this. Please give your employees proper training so that your customers can stay healthy and you can prosper. By the way, I am not sure if masks are required in restaurant kitchens, but the lady who heated up my chicken in the microwave was not wearing one. Obviously, I won't be going to this restaurant any more, but for their customers' sake, everyone who works at the restaurant should wear a mask at all times. Stay...

Don't go to this place. Food is disgusting, because I found an insect in it. I ordered a large pho and spring rolls for myself. Then I found a "fruitfly" in the middle of my noodle soup while I was eating. I talked to one of the waitress, (short middle-aged asian woman with a frown on her face), and she rudely asked me if I want another one without even saying "sorry." She was extremely rude in her tone of voice and talked to me as if I am bothering her in the middle of her work. I told her that it is a common sense for a waitress to apologize if something like this happens, because she's representing the restaurant with her service. She immediately argued back saying that a fruitfly in the noodle soup is just an accident, and thus she does not need to apologize. Then she simply decided to ignore me and told me to talk to the manager if I have a problem. I never got an apology from that server. Rudest server I've ever met in a restaurant. This is the worst restaurant experience that I've had in a long time. Their service is horrifying (especially that chubby short middle aged asian woman). They should seriously check the hygiene of their kitchen. It was a mature fruitfly that I found when I flipped over the noodle. I am still shocked at the server's response to this situation and the quality of their food. Never...

Hey let’s see if you remember this

My order was 88.62$, when you handed me the machine it said 886.20.

No problem mistakes happen, we corrected it and all was well or so I thought

I picked up my food 20 minutes later in 2 bags, and it slipped my mind to re check whatever you guys packed, I was in a rush and I have 6 grown men at work doing physical labour for 10 hours who have not eaten.

Imagine how upset they were when we had 5/6 sandwiches and instead of a lemongrass chicken plate we got plain rice.

I ordered 9 items and 1 side rice

I received 8 and 1 of them was substituted with rice instead of the 11$ ish dollars lemongrass rice we had ordered.

I drove back to the job and gave my dinner to one of the guys that still had to work for a few more hours.

This could have been a 5 star review but when I called to correct this I was repeatedly told that they definitely did not miscount the food despite miscalculating the bill by 800$ by accident. You would think they gave me the benefit of the doubt.

If you choose to eat here, use Uber eats so that if they mess the order up there is a record and the drivers will check the order for you.

I thought I was doing them a favor by not using Uber eats but having hungry guys at work isn’t acceptable and neither is ordering here...
